@Kungfumastertraining I dont see anything wrong with saying oriental. It catagorizes the countries that celebrate chinese new year without having to name off all the countries. If you say Asian it includes other countries like india, afgan, etc
'Nian' which means year, was a Chinese Lion-Monster that terrorised villages during the New Year, mythology goes that Chinese people scared 'Nian' away with firecrackers and the colour red. And no, it's a specifically New Year decoration.
Also, that's not a pagoda, it's a stone lamp. That round thing in the middle is definitely not a fan. You need more red colours and less gold ones.
Hi, I know that you aren't so familiar with Chinese New Year decorations because, well, you aren't of the culture, so I hope these tips find you well.
The '福" character is meant to me placed upside down. It's kinda of like a Chinese pun which means that Prosperity is here.
Stars and gold bars are not Chinese decoration. Fans, although Chinese are never used as decoration, the New Year banner font was popularised by Hollywood, not Chinese culture. You didn't hang a dragon head,it's a "Nian" head.
@Kungfumastertraining Hi KungFuMasterTraining - Please know that we do not use the word 'Oriental' to describe people, but rather items. The word Oriental is used with our party supplies to relate a concept of origin, rather than race or other defining characteristics. We give great consideration to the concerns of our customers, and I will be sure to pass on your concern to others within our company. - Ryan
Although these decorations depict Chinese culture, they quite look western in style, at least to my eyes.

@cutiecookie23 We like things as technical as possible. Are there other dragons who get the honor at other times? - Ryan

@cutiecookie23 "Technicially" (more commonly spelt technically) you should write "it's" - not "its". Just sayin...
