  • I Really Like The Video From Your Robart R780 Radial 4 Stroke Engine

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Robart R780 Radial 4 Stroke Engine

  • @dragosmaxxx how original

  • yes but, will it blend?

  • I want one in a scooter (:

  • The jolly green giant called. He said stop screwing around, and bring the engine for his string trimmer back. He needs to get back to work in the vegetable garden.

  • Dear Santa..... "You'll cut your head off kid"

  • You gonna build a big focker with it?

  • that fan is really loud;)

  • up, upn and awaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

  • u should paint the tips of the perpeler red,so at least you know how close u could walk around it

  • Comment removed

  • Dont´put your dick in it!

  • but will it blend? i think yes!

  • Quick question, is the Robart R780 originally designed for RC airplanes or were they once used in small gliders? I ask because I can't find any solid info on it, cheers thanks

  • в чем смысл не поиму

  • хренатень полная

  • At least put some wheels on the trolley and ride it somewhere....

  • @xraycortina exactly! :P

  • i bet this has more power than a prius

  • you could put that on your head/ go gadget helicopter go

  • this thing is screaming out to be put on a model plane!

  • My goodness I love the sound of those round engines. Thanks for posting.

  • attach it to an amazingly light weight disc shaped aircraft frame with very low ground clearance for maximum ground effect. for testing purtphouses you coudl make an aicraft frame ultra lightweight from strong cardboard or tough pvc sheeting. there are so many untested airframe design. remember also it doesnt have to fly very high to be usefull. even an altitudeof 6 ft is good and sucessful

  • small , powerful . where can u find that? amazing engineers

  • stick ur finger in it

  • @StillRemixin stick ur dick in it^^

  • Put some wheels on that stand and ride it! Awesome motor!

  • have they ever made a liquid cooled radial RC engine?

  • now do it again but let go of the bench

  • Wow

  • Nice motor. Running perfectly. Hitting good.

  • thums up if that sound killed your right ear!

  • children,... Now don't stick your fingers in it mmmkay

  • Stick your finger in it!!

  • come on....at least put some wings on that thing....nobody is that dumb!..lol

  • imagine an air powered radial engine....hmm might work

  • that thing sounds BADASS!!!

  • wow, what a beast!

  • with the motor in a model plane and the controller in the hands of some 8 year old little rich kid might end bad for the neighbors house lol

  • $4k.. there goes my plans of sticking one on a bicycle...

  • gotta love the toolbox with wheels... I'll do that with mine; equipped with an electric motor and some electronics, I could drive my starter battery, fuel, tools, and the plane on top, from the car to the stands by the runway...

  • I,d wish I could afford to buy 2 of those engines and build a scale version of an Grumman HU16e Albatross. Or maybe a F4U Corsair , FW 190, P47 ???. YA BABY, THAT WOULD GET SOME ATTENTION ON THE RAMPS AT AIRSHOWS. One of them parked under the wings of its "big brother".

  • Hi, Is that the maximum rpm it can run? Thanks

  • sweeeet!!! love it!

  • that would be awesome in a small boat

  • weiner lol

  • Put some wings on that thing and ur ready to go, :P

  • OMG - keep the radio antenna away from the prop! I dunno if it's the sound on this recording or what......but I found the MOKI 250 had a much throatier sound.

  • that sound never gets old even for such a small engine

  • Awesome sound!!! But it better sound awesome. Thing prob costs more than my fucking car.

  • @frontenginedragsterd You're bean bag too!

  • what kind of rpms will that pull ?

  • That's cooooool :)

  • @deltringham I thought that with those types of engines you'll need wires hooked up to the glow plugs that'll have a connector that looked like a glow plug that'll connect to a glow starter but there are easier and more reliable ways on keeping it running like you did testing

  • how did you get the glow plugs to work when you start it cold or is it one of those gasoline engines?

  • @wrestlemaniac202 The test stand has a 7-plug glow driver on it. The plugs were lit by battery the whole time it was running.

  • That's what you want for a 1/4 scale Waco. Draw your own plans and build a UBF-2. I'm daydreaming, of course.

  • It sounds great!

  • its like ww1 planes gone MAD!

  • @PJdacoolDJ more like WWII. WWI engines are more primitve

  • nice engine , look and sound good !

  • 10 HP?!!! O_o

  • ...but does it leak oil? ;)

  • Only what drips out of the exhaust.

  • @deltringham where can u get these?

  • @shmeddy01 This engine can be purchased right from Robart's web site.

  • @deltringham ok thanks man

  • @deltringham Why is there oil dripping out of the exhaust if it is a 4stroke?

  • @jah2mail It's a glow engine and it was running a little rich so there was a lot of extra oil running through the engine that did not get burned off. It keeps it cooler and happier.

  • what is that engine used for?

  • Model airplane????

  • @timpovsqb yeah i just never saw a model that big, id love 2 have one

  • Well you have big model planes, so that needs a big engine :P

    /watch?v=J5-mjglse5E

  • Looks Tail Heavy.

  • In this case I will have to agree with you.

The bench was very tail heavy.

  • is that for a giant rc plane?

  • Yes, it's going in a scratch built Waco UPF7

  • If I had this motor, I would'nt really need an airplane I'd could just sit, listen, and watch this beauty run !!

  • wow.. where did you get that?

  • You can buy them direct on Robart's web site.

  • This is pretty cool! It looks so realistic! I just must ask, what does it run on? Is it gasoline, or is it glo-plug model fuel?

  • It is glow fuel.

  • Know that i have under stand the engine i think that i could make one.

if i make a few trips to home depo.

  • Is it a copy of anything? completely hand built or partial or can you buy these things? Supercharged? Great to see. thanks

  • It's available through Robart. No assembly required. It's not supercharged.

  • How smooth is the engine? what were the vibrations going through the table like?

    thanks,

  • Very smooth, once the prop is balanced it runs very nice.

  • put you hand in the prop

  • Nice engine run!

  • Where can i get one?

  • how about a R/C brushless motor

  • A electric engine doesn't have this sound. I love it!

  • @iloverush123 there is not such thing of a electric engine silly. there are Electric motors but no electric engine.

By the way i heard of electric motors that make much better sound then this.

Tho the video host your 4 stroke engine sounds abit sick..

  • @iloverush123 Youtube this: Super high inertial Large Fan started by Solcon SoftStarter

& tell me what you think. Note its electric but sounds like a jet engine when it starts up.

  • Brushless is great for foamies and park fliers... But for scale models, they leave a lot to be desired.

  • I think that just might be the coolest thing I've ever seen!

  • Wait until you see the plane he's putting it in!

  • how do you know, when the five cylinder are running?

  • We used an infrared thermometer on each cylinder. The ones not firing are considerably cooler. Good question!

  • very cool, very expensve im guessing between 2000 to 2300 dollars

  • home!!ooo

  • very nice motor and a nice sound.

  • machine for sliceing a meat :)

  • i install it at my bicycle.lol

  • I;d think it was too loud ... maybe somehow installing a muffler or something

  • The exhaust is the ring behind the motor. I suppose you could add a muffler at the exhaust pipe but it would not look as scale.

  • are they trying to make that box fly? lol flyin box xD

  • whats the engines displacement in CC's?

  • thats cool.

  • What did you wind up putting it in?

  • It's going in a scratch built Waco. It's about 75% complete.

  • So, can you put four of those together and make a model R-4360? Lol!

  • Its sound seems to get better n BETTER !!

  • you need to run theas things in.

  • ... like the Finest of Wines n Women, Oooh Yeah Brother !! ;3)

  • yep. thats it

  • It's $4000 for the motor and another $325 for the exhaust.

  • I'll bet it is very expensive, isn't it?

  • Do Radial engines have a different sound than regular engines? (like this one does) Are they louder, etc.?

  • more hp then weight nice

  • thats a very tidy engine.... but why do i never see these things in RC aircraft?

  • Cost...

  • fair enough.

  • it runs! AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH

  • nice radial

  • Looks and sounds nice!

  • A very good machine.

  • Thats the bestest workbenck ever.

  • oh my god

    i want one so bad

  • how many cylinders? I think I can count 8..

  • Believe a seven cyl. motor.Radials don't have even number of cyl.....3,5,7,9 etc.

  • Looks like you're right, it is 8. But I think most radial engines always have an odd number of cylinders.

  • No, it's actually 7 cylinders.

  • Fly table, FLY!

  • Would be nice to hear it do a real rackey tak radial idle! the closest i heard to that was just a dying off, 4 thousand dollar rc plane engine hope it can do better than just a two stroke whine i should hope.

  • Please, please, please share video when the plane is ready to fly. Thanks

  • I am planning to pick up the saito 5R soon...

I also am going to get the 200Ti inline for my GP hawk....

wonder if the RObart radial will fit there new p-47 that is made fro mZiroli plans??

  • gas or glow?

    Looks glow

  • Yes, it is glow.

  • Till the plane is ready you can slice salami with it.

  • I wouldn't say it's little but it's definitely badass!

The owner is scratch building a Waco biplane to power with it.

  • badass little motor
