I have mouse too, we have the white traps where you set the food in a door in the back and then they go in the front and it kills them. No other mice eating the left over food and it will kill it instantly. I think that's as humane as it gets...

When I was younger we had them in our garage. My dad put a 5 gallon bucket at about a 45 degree angle filled with grass seeds. The mice would go inside to eat but unable to climb out. We'd them go drive a few minutes away and let them in fields.

If my home were invaded with mice, I am sure I would do the same thing, yet I found a harmless solution to where you can release the little guys far, far, far away... without death.... there are clear plastic things that will catch them- and because they are clear, they catch multiple ones easily.

They're a plague aren't they? It's not like they are an endangered species or something. I also use sticky traps. you can catch several with just one trap. gets rid of them easier. I've never seen a mouse pull itself apart trying to escape. just exhausted.
@StrangersLight used sticky traps once. laid some in the kitchen & one outside where i thought the mice were coming in. came home 8 hrs later to a bird that had exhausted itself to free its wings from the sticky trap outside. casualty number 1. came inside house to find mouse with entire side including its ENTIRE EYEBALL stuck to sticky trap. casualty 2. sticky traps are the WORST. you're better off with an old fashion mouse trap, its a very quick death, rather than a prolonged painful one.
@StrangersLight Sticky traps can actually be worse... I had one once where the mouse had been caught while we were sleeping and in the morning he was literally chewing off his foot in order to get off of the trap.. I hate the idea of killing animals but I think snap traps are actually most humane since they die quickly with very little suffering involved. :\

@xlxshanexlx I only used the traps twice (releasing them into the woods afterwords), and nothing like what you, or anyone else, suggested happened either time; luckily the mice found someone else to bother, so I didn't experience what happens when a trap goes wrong. Deleted suggestion.
Meh it was quick and painless. I too don't like animal abuse but its not like he went down to the pet store, bought a mouse, brought it home, and laid down a mouse trap. They were invading his home and leaving feces everywhere, if he called an exterminator he would've handled it the same way.

That is really interesting, the "smart" mouse was really aggressively eating the bait. The dumb mouse had been eating the bait less aggressively.
I prefer poison, no traps to empty, you do however have to scoop up their dead little bodies when you find them.

I moved to the country and it was war after I woke up and one of the little f-ers was nibbling on my fingernail, from my hand that was dangling off the side of the bed......argh.....(a lot of PM pills needed after that night!) Hang in there - supposedly they are coming in for winter. Teach Freddy there is a tasty treat inside them :D

@Emily1455 its a mouse? if you've ever owned a cat then its really not that much of a deal, I have 3 and I wake up most mornings with the remnants of the poor critter. I'm not saying this video is funny but its not exacly disgraceful, mice carry diseases and having them living in the house spreading their dropping everywhere isnt safe for both nalts, his wife, the kids and the pets.
Think about it from that point of view, if you however own a rodent then I'm sorry you can't see the other side.

If my home were invaded with mice, I am sure I would do the same thing, yet I found a harmless solution to where you can release the little guys far, far, far away... without death.... there are clear plastic things that will catch them- and because they are clear, they catch multiple ones easily.

Theres no need to kill them. There are traps that catch them and let you safely release them. Your just killing for no reason.
It doesn't take a genius to work it out. What the hell kind of example are you setting for your kids? Telling them its fine to kill something and make fun of its death then post it everywhere bragging about it? That's the kind of thing that tells kids its fine to kill things when theres no need. It's sick and flat out wrong.

They're a plague aren't they? It's not like they are an endangered species or something. I also use sticky traps. you can catch several with just one trap. gets rid of them easier. I've never seen a mouse pull itself apart trying to escape. just exhausted.

@StrangersLight used sticky traps once. laid some in the kitchen & one outside where i thought the mice were coming in. came home 8 hrs later to a bird that had exhausted itself to free its wings from the sticky trap outside. casualty number 1. came inside house to find mouse with entire side including its ENTIRE EYEBALL stuck to sticky trap. casualty 2. sticky traps are the WORST. you're better off with an old fashion mouse trap, its a very quick death, rather than a prolonged painful one.

@StrangersLight Sticky traps can actually be worse... I had one once where the mouse had been caught while we were sleeping and in the morning he was literally chewing off his foot in order to get off of the trap.. I hate the idea of killing animals but I think snap traps are actually most humane since they die quickly with very little suffering involved. :\

@xlxshanexlx I only used the traps twice (releasing them into the woods afterwords), and nothing like what you, or anyone else, suggested happened either time; luckily the mice found someone else to bother, so I didn't experience what happens when a trap goes wrong. Deleted suggestion.

Meh it was quick and painless. I too don't like animal abuse but its not like he went down to the pet store, bought a mouse, brought it home, and laid down a mouse trap. They were invading his home and leaving feces everywhere, if he called an exterminator he would've handled it the same way.
