Only you know the answer to that. Could you have done it without them? Many think you need God to make money, well, yiu don't. The wise however acknowldge God and earn it according to His purposes. I will say this, we pray for strength, guidance and for others to name a few. The bottom line is putting God first in all we do and letting our actions reflect the answers to our prayers.

I think you missed his point - he never said that prayer was not effective, you should watch the video again. I pray that I will get out of debt but guess what - if I don't change my spending habits and balance my checkbook ti won't happen! My prayers actually include asking God to give me the patience & discipline to not spend frivilously and to become wiser with money.

@tmotofga Furthermore, I find it hard to believe that nearly 100 pounds just went away with no effort on your part such as watching what you eat (not necessarily dieting) and exercising. @tmotofga they lowered the amount of need that was deemed to make you eligible. when bush was in office the need was much higher meaning you nearly had to be homelss but of course if you dont even have a home how you going to get to be in school successfuly? so people that wanted these grants and were going to use it wouldnt be able to get it anyway. and the people that pay for it are supposed to be the people that use it. IF they used it correctly as it was intended.

@tmotofga it also depends on your income as an independant, and it doesnt take into account living expenses. and that was the portion that was disproportional until obama took office and he lowered the the income eligibility to reflect people that had atleast a minimum wage job, were classified as independent, but clearly could not afford the credits on their own between living expenses and education.

@tmotofga the problem is again people dont use these opportunites correctly, they take the money , dont talk to advisors to assist them in mapping out or planning classes. they get do poorly, or drop out and now the money has been wasted because they still in the sad shape they were in when they started, jobless, and ignorant and with out a job they obviously cant pay back the collective financial burden of these grants on everyone else. but the grants are an attempt to help people.

I would say w/ the democratic party the people still made themselves suffer. Upon Obama's inaguration he freed up money and lowered requirements for pell grants which will at the very least pay for an associates degree from your local community college. Apart from this, community colloges offer life skill courses such as learning to balance finances etc. so atleast the democrats do put things in place for people. people just insist on not using them or acknowledging that they are there.

@psonit I think the lines are blurred on that part of the bible, it has to do with treating your body like a temple but at the same time most temples were highly decorated. Plus any Christian rock band you see usually has a few tats, but it's good you let your kids enjoy it even if it gets under your skin. My youth group was a great experience in my life growing up.
