what are you talking about? first off there is no such thing as a "vacuum". As for your question anything expose to somewhere that is less than atmospheric pressure or where when there is no atmospheric pressure objects tent to move a lot faster because there is no resistance of air..

If you have used a video camera in your life, you might know that when you shoot something very bright or dark, the camera takes a little time to adjusts. Therefore, the Earth is so bright that the Shutter Speed and probably the Exposure of the camera adjusts to the Earth brightness. So, it hides all the stars because they are not bright enough to be seen by the camera. That's it.
