I love this vid! It applies to all horse sports, not only eventing! :D i mean you dont just sit it the saddle! Its tons of work! And unlike other sports, when the day is done, you have to care for your horse- you dont just leave and go home!

No, but some need alot of encouragment. (Sp?) And they need to get the striding right, or they may overjump is, or add an exrta stride, which both are sometimes hard to sit. Lots of work! xD

well in horse back riding u have to use ur legs to tell the horse to move and were to go and when u jump u have to use ur legs to tell them when to jump and use ur hands to slow them down and muchhh more

Steer, make the horse bend, tell him when to jump, use striding when jumping, collect and extend his stride, plus, most of us have way musclar arms and legs from holding hot horses back, and pushing with our legs. Its one of the most difficult and dangerous sports there is. Plus, being able to move with the horse (Theres alot of movements to follow) while keeping good posture with your shoulders, back, heels, legs and arms, at the same time keeping the horse going well.

Too many things to list! It takes YEARS to ride well, and many more to be great. There are some riders who just sit there and look pretty on a nice horse, but anyone who has ridden in jumping position or without stirrups for an hour's ride feels like the got run over by a bus! hehe I guess you could relate it to how you feel after a football game (if you get tackled! haha). Sometimes, riding xc makes you feel like you ran the whole way on foot! You've gotta respect Zara, who's a top eventer. :D
