The only thing that I don't like about this thing is the fact that I can't use it as a webcam... compatibility issues. Not their fault tho. I love this thing!
I have this camera, use it to film bad driving whilst i'm cycling and Emergency Vehicles, the videos are on my channel, but it's a fantastic piece of kit, and i made the mistake of buying the Sports Pack, JUST for the headband strap, when i could've made my own strap for a couple of quid. Definetly worth buying though, i love it!
I'm hoping to use one of these to record something in motion at about 50mph, for example on a roller coaster. How well does it cope with high-speed motion of that type? It doesn't have to be perfect, just so that you can make out what's going on.
RVOps: I have just 1 problem with this camcorder. Instead of the on/off video surveillance being audio activated, it should be motion activated. It is possible to sneak into a room and yet be extremely quiet.
I've see motion detectors in cheap disposable halloween toys. For example, when you walk pass, they'd let off a screem. This option can't be that expensive.
The same generic product, but not branded Muvi, is available on Ebay Post Free from HK at £20 (about $28). However you do need a Micro SD card with that (4Gb about £6 ($9)). These cams do work really well and are very tough. Excellent also for mounting on model aircraft, or as I do, on model boats. AVI freeware for splitting and editing movies is available on the Net. VLC or KM Player are best for playing AVI movies. Good item but beware markups.
I love my Muvi Camcorder, I think its the best little thing ever!!

anyone know why I can't get better than 20 frames per second, even with Class 4, 4GB media (bright sunny day, sitting still)?

Can it record WITHOUT sound? So just a silent clip? If not can the sound be edited out with the software?

what song was used in the ending
sixthspeedtuner 1 year ago
Not sure of the track but the group is called "Chicane"

The original song is "Ready, Steady, Go" by Paul Oakenfield.
This seems to be a foreign version of this song.

@Bill, no HD is considered 720p(1024x720) or 1080p (1920x1080)

may i come with a suggestion on how to secure it to the clip?
use an innertube from a bike tire and pull that over the cam... both holds it in place and protects it...
19leon73 2 years ago
won't that cover the controls?
seanhoutx 2 years ago
well... how many times do you need to access the controls? once for start and once for stop?
and the innertube is soft so I think you can oush through it,
19leon73 2 years ago
So, is this considered "HD" ?
