I like this movie and its fight choreography. Van Damme also did a great job in directing this. But a lot of fights were just waaaaay to short!

Capoeira is NOT a dance.. It was diguised as one when it should had been hidden from the Mill Bosses during the slavery in Brasil in the 19th century.

It isn't supposed to be a ring fighting however It's not so foolish defeated coz you don't have how to defend against the attack...Only on yankee movies could be possible.

Isso é sabido por poucos, e a grande massa ignora a manipulação imposta pela mídia.

O mesmo aconteceu com um diretor brasileiro do filme " BESOURO" o diretor contratou um coreografo chinês para encenar as lutas dos capoeirista, aí o cidadão, colocoou os dois capoeirista para lutar em cima de uma árvore, kkkk, e deixou o jogo a málicia a ginga de lado. O coreografo ainda falou que era dificil coordenar as cena pois na capoeira...

Responder a este vídeo... pois na capoeira os movimentos surgem do improvisso. Essa questão, não tem nenhum embassamento real e concreto, pois o capoeirista é capaz de analisae definier seu jogo no decorrer da luta/jogo,permitindo assim se fazer quaisquer alterações cenografica.

The Monkey Style Kung Fu was a perfect match against Capoeira. Even though Capoeira's a half-dancing half-fighting style martial art, it looks like techiques based off of Monkey Kung Fu, just more dancing and just as much acrobatics as Monkey Kung Fu.

@ricochetlaugh Because Brazilian slaves weren't allowed to learn to fight and therefore conceiled fighting moves into dance. Any Capoeira practitioner will be able to tell you that capoeira is one of the least effective fighting styles around, because it uses graceful and elaborate moves.

Van Damme did a good job in directing this movie. Actually its a preety unterrated VD movie. I like it very much, it has a good cast, great footage and decent fight choreography. The fights could have been longer in my opinion, but other than that is preety good.
