  • Doesn't this seem rather hypocritical to say you don't use items, yet in this video you do, even for this instant? Why didn't you quit like most people do? You can't say no homo, then give a rimjob to the most flamboyant male you can find. One or the other man, one or the other. : / [FYI, not trolling]

  • 0:41 beast

  • Only noobs try to score Home-Runs with the Home-Run Bat.

REAL MEN THROW THE BAT IN PEOPLE'S FACES.

It's actually more efficient that way.

  • @Are1c I agree

  • i mean its not a seriusly match its a game for fun

  • items are cool so doesnt mean u dont have to use it items are fun anyway duh

  • items does balance the game out so even the noobiest epople still have a chance but i do agree i hate it when people just rely on items and just start avoiding me -_-

  • Sometimes I play with items or without items.

When I'm playing with items I either play competitively or just to have fun.

When I'm not playing with items I either play competitively or just to have fun. I just have it when n00bs only play with items as if they depend on them just to win. The only way they can win is with items.

  • a game is made for fun...

if you want to have fun with friends, use items..

    if not, dont.

  • The reason why i don't play with items is because i don't think you are a true smasher when you play with items. But that doesn't make sense because nobody knows what makes a true smasher.

  • Items give variety to the match.

I prefer throwing Beam Swords at people rather than swinging it at them. Also applies to Lip's Stick, Fan (not always), Homerun Bat, and Star Rod.

  • Wow. you beat an Ike using Falco on FD. You must feel so pro! Nevermind that YOU had the huge advantage with items in the first place.

  • @GameJesusForever Hell yeah I did!

  • @GameJesusForever u mad bro, u like items in competitions? usad bro? u gonna cry?

  • @GameJesusForever Dude. At least he actually has Subscribers. And friends. Don't hate on the internet; You'll end up as a Loner. (a.k.a Lowlife (In My Terms) And Plus. You could just be jealous that he has More Views. Subs, Channel Views, Friends/Friend Requests Than YOU!. So

"If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" -Thumper (Bambi - 1942)

Plus this isn't anything mean. I'm giving you pointers.

  • He rage quitted? Even with items, n00bs get pwnd >.>

  • good reason

  • Comment removed

  • It is a game........

  • I'm told Melee/Brawl Tournaments are one-man stock with no items. A friend of mine has been following that rule just because it was more fun that way.

My opinion: I still beat the heck out of Alloys using a Beam Sword.

  • @Are1c - Teams in Classic are infinitely funnier if you use a Paper Fan and throw it at the spawn point at the correct time.

  • i only play with items when there are 3 or 4 players

"1 vs 1" is more srious

  • Liking items in serious matches does not make you a bad player. Period.

It also adds a new element of tactics into the match, depending on the items selected; a common example would be a Golden Hammer. Do you grab it and take the chance that it's not a squeaker that will screw you over, or leave it alone and take the chance that your opponent will get the real deal?

Put simply, items are mostly for fun, but they can be good for serious matches as well.

If you don't cry when losing, that is.XD

  • items are too luck based

like you could have killed your oppentent 5 times and after 5 items your opponent

could be ahead of you w/o the opponent getting hurt

  • So I am not the only one who prefers to chuck items off the stage rather than use them.

  • @FireMario149

Sorry I didn't mean to make it sound like they weren't, I just noticed people seem to be more angry than having fun at those games

  • That Ike sucked, but with or without items is fun, it's Nintendo take your stupid rage to Black Ops and Halo and leave fun games alone

  • @TalesofHero keep your fanboy shit offline

  • I agree but only for the characters who have items

  • love the ending

  • most times people abuse items and cheat turning it into a spaming tool, i like to when with own power but they are good ways to use items like doing glicthes and practicing di but this is just my opion

  • brawl is not fun with items on. items just help people win. the only reason people win with items is because they rely on them way to much

  • lol i both love and hate items

im not a casual brawler im actually pretty good my older bro. is like 5x good as me but i always make him nervous when i use toon link he gets scared cuz he cant count down the time to my bombs

  • the items lower ur brawl level and make u suck at the game but still they wont get rid of them i like some of them and to be the top and best at the game u have to be good at everything the Nintendo company gives us thats y i train with and with out items cuz it keeps me as a balanced Smasher. :) its true and u guys know it """"but still the items are pretty annoying"""""" like when a random Ass smart bomb comes in the Dame middle of the FUCKING BATTLE >:-( AND BLOWS EVERYONE OF THE STAGE

  • You are not a pro if you don't play with items.

  • @MrXicoFelipe wat

  • @Meanz56530 Items add new strategies to the chars. For example, Lucario can throw items while charging the Aura Sphere. Some people think items are for noobs because they are random, so you can "win only because certain item appeared next to you". If your oponent got an item, just use your pro skills to avoid his attacks. We play Mario Kart with items, why not play Brawl with items?

  • @MrXicoFelipe Say that when you're in a tournament, based on skill, and you're charging an Fsmash or Falcon/Wizard Punch and all of a sudden a bobomb appears directly in your hit box. Does that happening determine a test of skill? no. Is Mario Kart played in a real competitive environment? no. The only exception to Mario Kart is Time Attack which gives you 3 total mushrooms. No bullets, no stars, nothing retarded completely based on chance.

  • @Phaiyte Mimimimimimimi.

  • @Phaiyte Items are not "completly based on chance". Give a Smash Ball to a noob that's using Pikachu. He will do NOTHING with it and maybe he will even die trying to use it. Just because there is some luck involved (and that is, what item will appear, when and where) does not mean that there is no skill. It's how you use the items that counts the most.

Also, you cannot do this without items watch?v=PqOFhQ2Tztc ^^

  • @MrXicoFelipe That vid has nothing to do with item usage. That's just a flat out shitty Falcon, and the other Falcon is just doing something everyone else does on a day to day basis on reflex. Also anyone in a tournament foolish enough to not at least grab the smash ball is retarded. Why would a noob like that be attending a tournament? You're proving nothing so far.

  • @Phaiyte Mind game using an item. The bumper, if it's not so obvious to you.

  • @MrXicoFelipe Giving characters extra projectiles of any kind? There's a reason why Fox's lasers don't stun like Falco and Wolf's. Fox would instantly be 10x better if it fired like Falco's instead. Giving Meta Knight a projectile of any kind is flat out suicide. So far you're proving nothing but idiocy. Try going to a real tournament and not suck at it. Maybe you'll get dominated by a shitty Ganondorf in the first round.

  • @Phaiyte What is the problem with making the chars better? It's not like only one character is using items. It changes the tier list, but what is the problem with that? Just because the so called god tier mk (wich I totally disagree, he sucks) would not be a god anymore the game is for noobs?

And why do you think I don't play "real" tournaments? It's just my opinion that items give new tactics to the characters, and that true pros should be able to adjust his tactics to many situations.

  • @MrXicoFelipe You just said Meta Knight sucks, therefore you once again show you have no clue what you're talking about. The only characters that have any real advantage over MK is Pikachu, Falco, and Snake. MK has by far the best recovery in the game, same range as Marth, best comboability out of anyone else in the game, fastest overall average attack speed, and upwards of 5-6 good KO moves where everyone else has maybe 2-3 max. Tell me so you can embarrass yourself some more. Why does MK suck?

  • @Phaiyte Because I never found an MK player that I could not defeat.

  • @MrXicoFelipe Try not playing shitty MKs. I dare you to try and beat M2K, Bloo, or any half-decent MKs out there. You're a fool if you honestly believe Metaknight is a bad character.

  • Yeah, items make it fun, but that's not the only way to play for fun. You can play super-competitively with no items, and still have it be fun. I do it all the time. I'm jealous, though. Your online is way better than mine. I look like a moron doing all my moves a second and a half late... "Alright, perfect timing. Wait, why aren't you doing any-wait, what?"

  • The only ppl use items IS to get an edge...and for teh lulz

  • Would you like to play a game?

  • This is why I use items in Brawl.

    :D

Naw, I rarely use them anymore, but I do enjoy my occasional matches with pokeballs, smart bombs, soccer balls, and the like. You know, the unfair items. Which every competitive player whines about. Because it's hella fun to see everyone die, whether or not it was skill that killed you or a seriously stupid and badass item combo.

Every item is unfair to a competitive smasher. They do have the luck factor, after all.

  • Hey I haven't seen any poke' mon balls in this game like there were in Melee are there any poke' mon balls even though the main 3 poke mon are in the game I haven't played but I haven't seen it in any of the videos I watch about SSBB

  • EXACTLY WHY I DONT USE ITEMS!

    Pure bullcrap.

  • I hate it when people quit out of an online battle because they are losing. Doesn't matter what the game is, it is always irritating.

  • Lol

I'd like to brawl you, but knowing you , your list is probably full. Plus you mario could own MOST of my mains.

  • Items fail just like the Ike in this video.

    However, Plumbers are ftw.

  • Comment removed

  • when i play with items i would use specific ones like smart bombs for fun but for normal matches i wouldnt use them as some ppl do know some tricks with them that would give huge advantages.

  • I dont like playing with items. Even for fun because you feel bad when your 9yr old cousin beats you with Legendary pokemons the whole match ;_;

  • Considering my mortifiably low luck skill, items for me are a bigger bane than... everything. No, wait, that didn't come out right...

  • XFD, that was nice.

  • items are for noobs

  • Items aren't for noobs.

    They're there for fun.

Just because you don't like items doesn't mean everyone else has to hate them.

  • trust me...a lot of people hate items...and by people I mean good players. the casual smasher wont mind items, and thats because they only play for "fun", not seriously...

  • I don't mind items, but I've never lost with them off.

  • This guy must be good, he never loses.

  • Playing seriously is fun -_-. Its ppl like that that john alot when they lose.

  • I know a lot of serious players (OUGA for example) who enjoy items.

That being said, few serious player enjoys items in a serious match. (I can't say none do, since there is an AllBrawl ruleset for tournies which includes item play, though it is limited.)

  • I like to think I am good player. I enjoy items. The best brawler knows how to take advantage of everything including items and stage layout.

I want Stock, I want no items, do you always get what you want? When items were turned on, one of my friend did not know how to use final smash properly and failed. Items are part of smash. Deal with it.

  • I play for fun, AND TO WIN. I play for fun, WITHOUT ITEMS.

    I'm Casually Hardcore.

  • @max05XIII What's the point of playing a game if you're not doing it for fun?

  • @max05XIII dude its a game. Games are entertainment also known as fun.

  • @MrTheJason obviously u dont get it ;)

  • @max05XIII God forbid they should ever play a game for this "fun" thing you mentioned!

  • @max05XIII So Very True

  • @max05XIII Who takes a game seriously?

  • @max05XIII Like me.

  • @max05XIII

Playing without items is fun too

  • @TenshiSilver7 Only if you main high tiers, otherwise, items are better imo =/ The luck factor in them balances the game out to be honest.

  • @max05XIII playing seriously is WWAAYY fun lol seriously

  • @max05XIII If you play a game seriously, you have no life.

  • @shotsoon Well, I guess professional athletes have no lives then.

  • @zeldafan024 Learn to read, he even said he enjoys having items on.

  • @UltraKirbyFan Mine was a reply to a comment one year ago.

It was a reply to someone who said and I quote "Items are for noobs".

Now I'll just ask kindly for your apology and you may be on your merry way.

  • Lol items. They're for screwing around in the game.

Playing competitively, there are no items to the best of my knowledge.

  • I don't use items in competitive brawls.

  • lol i Dont use items

  • Now that also why I don't use items to. XD
