Sony has developed graphics for PS3 way beyond anything Microsoft has now for Xbox, although due to Microsoft's constant bitching and complaining Sony has decided not to step up graphics and audio.

As much as I love my PS3, and I recognize how much of a better system it is than the 360, the XBOX is still much more fun to play. XBOX Live absolutely murders PlayStation Network and justifies the extra expenditure of 50 bucks a year, there are better multiplayer games available on XBOX, I'm not just talking halo, but gears of war as well. Other than 1st player games, which the ps3 edges out the 360, the 360 dominates. Get over yourselves.

The only reason why I prefer the 360 is the controller. The PS3 controller just sucks hard. But that's my own opinion. I think that people should buy the console they like best, and for me it's the 360. and to clearify. There is no such thing as an HD cable. Sure, I know what you mean, but it is called an HDMI cable. HDMI meaning "High-Definition Multimedia Interface" which basically means that it transfers high definition picture and sound in one cable.

Adding the trasportation costs, here a PS3 costs the equivalent to 750 dollars, and each game costs about 100 to 150 dollars.
Since computer hardware is taxed differently and PC games are redistributed by local companies, here PC gaming ends up much cheaper than consoles.

@XRvd15X the only reason blu ray was needed is because the sony GPU is crap. So they needed to put the game files uncompress in to a blu ray. So I like the ps3 but it does get annoying people say the games are good because of blu ray, blu ray just holds info, same has a dvd on xbox and PC for there games. What makes the games in the PS3 good is the cell CPU. Which is getting outdated. In fact DVD is better for games because it is cheeper for them and PC is the easist for them because of DLC.

ps3 would be the better choice. not because theres any difference between the bluray drives, but because the ps3 is connected to the internet so it can constantly update new bluray content and increase playback quality.

Only diffrence is Blu-Ray lighting is slightly better. In Gadgets shows comparison (Used same TV's, same Settings same everything) only diffrence was the lighting effects. However, Blu-Ray has technically lost, all Hollywood movies are made mostly for HD CD's therefore HD movies come out before Blu-Ray that means no matter what happens if Hollywood suddernly decides Sony is better investment (Unlikly mind you considering HD out numbers Blu-Ray players very easily) then it wont win.
If you want more then here's something for you to think about. Film critics who tested both systems simultanously found them to be almost identicle appart from the better lighting of Blu-Ray. The fact is Sony's statement; upto 6x better means they have yet to master blu-ray so for the moment Blu-Ray is being beat by HD, but in the future probly not.

and to clearify. There is no such thing as an HD cable. Sure, I know what you mean, but it is called an HDMI cable. HDMI meaning "High-Definition Multimedia Interface" which basically means that it transfers high definition picture and sound in one cable.

@jawehawk i didnt payd, my father did and it was 900 dollars, because to get a dollar you have to "buy" it on a bank, i told my father when we went to the united states that we should buy the ps3 there for only 400 dollars and he told me he didnt wanted to buy it since if the ps3 doesnt works or gets broken we wont get the garanty.

@jawehawk It's like that on the entire South America. I live in Brazil and here the government estabilished a 75% income tax on electronic entertainment products, including consoles and games. Adding the trasportation costs, here a PS3 costs the equivalent to 750 dollars, and each game costs about 100 to 150 dollars.
Since computer hardware is taxed differently and PC games are redistributed by local companies, here PC gaming ends up much cheaper than consoles.

@XRvd15X the only reason blu ray was needed is because the sony GPU is crap. So they needed to put the game files uncompress in to a blu ray. So I like the ps3 but it does get annoying people say the games are good because of blu ray, blu ray just holds info, same has a dvd on xbox and PC for there games. What makes the games in the PS3 good is the cell CPU. Which is getting outdated. In fact DVD is better for games because it is cheeper for them and PC is the easist for them because of DLC.

It is near impossible to backup Blu-Ray dvds without specialist software
Blu-Ray loses slightly to HD with lighting.
Oh yeah and all you who keep saying 1080p is best no it's not. Japness TV's can go upto 2040p.
Now I'm not saying which console is better but so far more is aginste Blu-Ray than HD the oinly advantage is memory storage that I know of.

Only diffrence is Blu-Ray lighting is slightly better. In Gadgets shows comparison (Used same TV's, same Settings same everything) only diffrence was the lighting effects. However, Blu-Ray has technically lost, all Hollywood movies are made mostly for HD CD's therefore HD movies come out before Blu-Ray that means no matter what happens if Hollywood suddernly decides Sony is better investment (Unlikly mind you considering HD out numbers Blu-Ray players very easily) then it wont win.

If you want more then here's something for you to think about. Film critics who tested both systems simultanously found them to be almost identicle appart from the better lighting of Blu-Ray. The fact is Sony's statement; upto 6x better means they have yet to master blu-ray so for the moment Blu-Ray is being beat by HD, but in the future probly not.

bluray and hd dvd are NOT identical. for one, bluray holds twice the data. also, hd dvd's NATIVE resolution is 1080i, while bluray is full 1080p sound and video.
