  • Want sooo much to go back visit again =(

  • Visited St. Petersburg earlier this year and found these metro escalators truly intriguing. The sheer depth of these tunnels made me first go like :O

The metros themselves were great too, especially the atmosphere in a moving metro, the sound of it etc. Actually the sound made me feel like the metro was moving fricking fast. Pretty different than fx. the metros here in finland.. well in Helsinki :)

  • I felt in the metro..wiehoew

  • I almost smell the tunnels! What a feeling of speed when the train moves!

  • This was my metro stop!!! Get me back to Russia, immediately:)

  • Primorskaya!! I was there everyday when I was there for 4 weeks this summer- this video brings back memories! Love the metro there, thankyou!

  • This was my metro stop for 5 weeks when I studied in St. Petersburg - thanks for capturing for me another beautiful side of St. P. СПАСИБА!

  • Приморская, ближайшая ко мне станция. Мелочь, а приятно.)

  • That would be an excellent morning exercise)))

  • It must be pretty terrible when the escalator breaks down. I wouldn't want to climb all those stairs...

  • i know. good memories.

    i miss SPB!

  • blja :)

    a kogda sam edew

    eto ne tak dolgo :)

  • I always thought that it was prohibited to take pictures or video in metro. Did you hide the camera?

  • Yes, I had to hide the camera. I started recording and then held the camera at waist-level so that it looked as though I was just carrying it (like a tourist). In my experience, using a flash in the metro is a great way to get chased down by the metro police.

  • spasibo tebe za takoi zame4atel'nyj video:-))ti mne napominal moju studen4eskuju zhizn' v pitere:-))privet s MOROKKO

  • Ti tozhe ruski email me some time

  • It's usual for St.Petersburg.

Metro in the center of St.Petersburg is located too deep because of crossing of river Neva, its inflows and underground waters.

    Just safety.

  • And they have also been used as bomb shelters during air raids.

  • No the metro was build after the second world war in 1955 for the first line.

  • Yeah, you're right. I was thinking of the precautions taken during the Cold War when they built these with the possibility of air raids in mind.

  • None of my friends believed me when I said the escalator took that long.

    Brings back good memories.

  • i also rode this escalator i forgot to bring a camera with me when i went there ughhh sooo many beautiful girls...
