  • i caught some fish in a creek and im trying to find out what kind of fish is it and this look like the closes to it, but i'm not sure still

  • @visualkeirockstar

Crucian carps only live in europe and northern asia.

  • @MegaPlanelover

Don't mix the names of the Prussian Carp (Carassius gibelio) and

Crucian carp (Carassius carassius). In this video you can see Crucian carps.

It's possible that Crucian carps and goldfish breed and you get hybrids. You should avoid creating hybrids in a tank (and NEVER release them into a lake).

Hybrids of Prussian carps and goldfish are also possible, although rarely. Because there are mostly female prussian carps which clones themselve via Gynogenesis.

  • what is the temperature?

  • In winter 16°C (60°F) and at the hottest summerdays 26°C (78°F). Averaged at 18°C (64°F).

  • interesting video thanks for the upload

  • My pleasure!

  • looks more like a whitebass

  • Mmh, I don't think so. They don't look very similar. White bass or sand bass (Morone chrysops) is a member of the sunfish family and not of the carp.

  • awesome fish :D

  • Thanks!

  • How do you keep them without them eating all your plants? The moment I put plants in my fish tank, they're gone within a week.

  • All of my carp never made any problems of eating plants. But both of my rudd do. They like soft plants like elodea and often decimated it.

  • Crucian carp are very nice fish imo :) and i like how your tanks real planted :D

  • Thank you very much. And yes, they're really nice fish.
