This fight is SO HARD WITHOUT A ROCKET LAUNCHER!! I ran out of ammo as I fought Mendez, but thankfully never died once. When I was out, one knife strike killed him. And thank god, too.

I gotta say that, other than as a boss battle in a horror game, this theme would also go well with the following situations:

- Trying to escape from a horrific fate, such as being consumed by a wall of death or a rising pool of blood.

- Trying to get through a hellish area while plowing through constantly respawning horrors such as ghosts, monsters, demons, etc.

I still think that it's almost a sin to leave out songs from say, Silent Hill for this kind of list. The first time I fought this guy, I can honestly say I didn't see him being able to turn into a giant...thing. But it was probably the scariest boss fight (for a first time player) other than Verdugo, U3, and Regenerators in the entire game. The creepy disjointed violin that plays as he slowly stalked towards you just made it even scarier...

Gotta love the good games of the RE series.

While I myself have never played any RE, my older brothers have (No, I'm not a teen kid. I just don't have access to the RE games anymore ; ;) and the bosses have always been quite interesting for what I've been able to tell.

Never did see anyone play 4 though. Heard it rivals Code Veronica in awesomeness. Back on topic, the music is disturbing for sure, would be creepyier with a drum beat.
