Wondeful film! How perceptive of you to film the old school all those years ago. I looked at the windows and the doors and could actually see my old classmates and teachers standing there - Mrs. Hyde, Miss Ryan and, of course, Miss Coates. This school and the teachers that taught there did so much for the kids of the East End - unsung hereos!

He was a young fellow back then but had the foresight to record this footage with his family cine camera. He's given a copy to the Island History Trust for posterity.
