The trip on the Armas ferry takes around 2.75 hours and docks in Las Palmas. Fred Olsen takes around 1 hour but docks in Agaete, which is on the north-west of the island. If you are heading for the south of the island you have a longer drive from here than from Las Palmas. I think Armas is cheaper as well.
