Taekwondo is a good fighting art but it matters what i personally do is mix in some western boxing and use WTF kicks and it seems to be a good street fighting style. I know this because i have alot of friends in Martial arts which are Karate,Muay thai,Kickboxing and Taekwondo i can beat all off em with Taekwondo and western boxing but i am also alot stronger than them so... but if you take Taekwondo i would suggest learnign some Western boxing.

Taekwondo actually incorporates a lot of Western Boxing. As well as knee, elbow and various hand strikes.

@themusicman555 not completly acurate but you have a good idea, taekwondo kicks are very diferent from muay thai kicks, is beeter if you first learn boxing then muay thai and then taekwondo. Its also good to add jiu jitsu,judo or wreslting to have a ground game.

@themusicman555 there are many reasons you might want o learn a traditional martial art. at any rate, kickboxing has worse hands than boxing, and worse kicks than taekwondo. it does however have better combinations of both, better timing, distancing, etc. it's up to you what you decide to learn, no need to dictate.

have you ever even tried to use your TKD moves vs anyone? if you really are a black belt, then you know that if someone tries to punch you - a high section back side kick will knock them out. TKD is a great fighting art in real life
