One of the best songs that I've ever listened to! So serene and minimal. The minimal video does complement the video..... This song is like.....art in motion!
I can listen to this song each and every day and not bat an eye as to becoming tired of the melody. 3:24-3:53; this song is amazing from start to finish but what she does between that little window is beyond magical. That breakdown from the rest of the song is what i live for with this genre of music.
@lovewhispers68 Nice. For me it is 3:53 onwards, I love it when the breakdown finishes and the synth dramatically builds up and takes over - for me the emotion in the synth tells the rest of the story that she starts - those are the parts I love.
I definitely get what you're saying. Now that I've listened to the section, with a closer ear, it makes sense. It's funny because the other evening, at dinner in my favorite Thai restaurant in NY, during the late hours it basically turns into a lounge. This song came on and I honestly felt as if Emma was taking me on a spaceship ride. When her voice hits my ears, she makes me feel completely at ease.
@lovewhispers68 It's nice to see people enjoy the music so much! Thats what is great about trance music though. You can get lost with it and feel every emotion, and people appreciate and interpret the music differently, especially non vocal trance as there is no lyrics to tell 'the story'.
It's sad that so many people don't understand Trance and similar sounding music. They say "It all sounds the same" and of course they just go ahead and label it as techno and move on. It's like they're missing a part of their brain that allows them to appreciate great music like this. I pity them.
But then I think about it, do we want this music to have 300 million views? I say no and I'm actually kind of thankful it's still relatively underground. Us trance fans are in a league of own.
@ZenAesthetic Well said, I have to fully and completely agree. What they are ignorant to is the fact that trance music is by and large just the post millenium interpretation of classical music with the harmonies and melodies being acheived by electronics as apose to violins etc - classical has stood for centuries. I can also tell the name of hundreds of tracks from all forms of dance music appart just from hearing the beat/intro - so that is proof that they are massively unique.
@ArnoldsElite I totally agree. I feel that trance music is an underappreciated genre of music and I hate it when people give me that "all techno sounds the same." Trance music IS a genre for people who appreciate music for more reasons than just something to dance to in a seedy nightclub. People often ask me where I find all this "strange" music, and I tell them - I find it: I listen to music that fits my love for feeling emotional vibes; I don't let the pop music industries spoonfeed it to me.
@deathtoyouall I think the fact that trance is underappreciated is a good thing -- the music lovers love it, and the mainstream crowd (mostly) stay away! :D
@ZenAesthetic And your point about the views is bang on. Niki Minaj can have her 150,0000 views - it seems that the most popular are autotuned and talentless and dont even write their own music - and thats the music industry. But trance is an art that takes time and is reserved only for those with passion, vision and emotion. And when the industry tried to make trance mainstream and raped it we ended up with 'CLUBLAND'.................id rather have 1,000 views.
