Thanks for posting. I went to Skegness Butlin's in 1971. It was like a wonderland. I've seen pics of how it is now and it's a shame they destroyed most of it. I know times move on but it's not always for the better. I don't know why they felt the need to change the front of it.Looked more welcoming as it was.
Having been woken up to this everyday for an entire summer season (in 1968) I can't really decide if I love it or hate it. It certainly still goes round my head on occasions. It used to come through the Tannoy system into our chalets whether we liked it or not. I used to work late shifts in the bars so I did not always appreciate it. Great pictures - includes one of the Pig and Whistle bar where I mainly worked. Thanks for posting.
@PieInTheSkyMan Cheers for that Sky Man. I too worked at Butlins. But that was in the late 70’s. I know what you mean about the tune; you either love it or hate it. Thank you, I only went once as a kid. Took my kids a few years ago. I think it’s lost the magic. Simple times.
