even though you glued it cant you just go back and and sew in the tracks later when i did it it was an extra step but at least i went back and sewn it so it would last do the sewing when you have time
Quick tip: you can stop the unravelling by purchasing any fray stopper in the sewing section of Wal-mart or any craft store. It's cheap, easy, less time-consuming and soesn't leave any bumps around the edge of the cap. You can also apply it to the wefts to reduce shedding (for those like me who hate spending beaucoup bucks on hair, but don't want embarrassing mishaps either.) Hope this helps!
or Create a video response * I'm studying so funds are limited so I wanted to know if there was a cheaper brand that would achieve the same look...I found that the other Deep wave weaves don't have the same curl pattern that you have
When your daughter says, "WOW" @2:26 I see why you laughed that was so cute. Keep up the excellent work. Love the wigs and weaves. I will be trying soon. Thanx for the vids.
OMG...I LOVE!!! I AM GOING TO ATTEMPT THIS TECHNIQUE THIS WEEKEND BUT I THINK I WILL DO I FULL WIG *I HAVE KEPT MY HAIR SHORT AND NATURAL FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS*...WISH ME LUCK!!! *FINGERS CROSSED*
@chrissy0129 i have a bigger head so i use a styrofoam head but leave small gaps inbetween sewing on each stretchy strap of the cap so theres room for my head once i put it on. if you have a big head and fit the tracks exactly to the styrofoam head the wig will be too tight once you try it on.
I make these too! I actually like them better then doing sew ins becuz u can take them on and off to get to ur natural hair...I sew mine on my mannequin tho...pretty hair!
I like the way you did this Omega wig.I think I would want to sew it to net for it to last longer..but in the futire still use this technique as a quick half wig.I like how it turned out!Have you seen the review on missdivalike with her full lace from RPGShow.com.I think you would like it!
im confused, didnt you have the shower cap on when you glued it together? how did you get the shower cap from under it and keep it like a weave with just the clips?
I've always wanted 2 wear weave but was 2 afraid that it would ruin my hair. Now, thanks 2 u, I can wear weave w/out damaging my hair & I can do it myself without havin 2 pay a ton at the beauty salon. Thanks so much 4 adding this video. It is 1 of my favorites now.
nice video i wanted to know do you know if it would work if i sew it on a manequin head and cut it at the end instead of cutting it first like you did...get what i mean?
Lol, I glued it! I use to make my own wigs about 5 years ago. This makes me want to try again with jerry curl hair using some of your techniques! Thanks for sharing!
love this ! it kinda reminds me of xxtheislandbeautyxx 's quick weave system - except she sew's hers like u started to but im soo happy u glued it b/c now i know it works both ways!
i love it...i think making your own wig is such a good idea...and i dont blame you for glue bonding this hair....that sew in would have been a lot of work...lol
that looks great. i did the same thing with a different type of hair. i did one with the net sewing cap and sewed the hair in but i found that it didnt stretch and give like i wanted it to so i when i took it off. so on the next one i did i used glue and a wave cap intsead of a wig cap or sewing net and mine looked pretty good.
your a genius I want to be able to be like you in the future, and I need some help Im doing a quick weave for a friend but she wants wet an wavy with straight bangs this is the first time im doing this on someone else's head other then my own on head any tips?
@dohminica you can actually switch the part to your liking that's the beauty of a 3/4 wig

dohminica 10 months ago

you can def use a styro head. it makes it soooo much easier. and the cap is stretchy so it should not be a prob when you put it on.
ania1026 1 year ago
if i use a styrofoam head do you think it fit? well fit me when done? btw i have a bighead
