Am I the only one that noticed that some of the sound in background seem to come from some NIN tracks ? For example the drums reminds me of NIN - I do not want this. And another sound at 1:00 reminds me of NIN - At The Heart Of It All (around 6:00).
@devilurumi You aren't, I was linked to this song from "I Do Not Want This", and not only did I hear the same drum line, the lyrics "I'm losing ground" as well as reference to a hand pulling the speaker out of pain or trouble. So yeah, I definitely hear that. Makes me like this band more :]
@drhoneybadger I must admit , this song is a dud, but don't let that turn you off to the band completely. Try "Supernova", "On Course" and "Swallow". Also try their Greman language suff like,"Das Weisse Licht", "Augen Auf, and "Brennende Liebe" because that is where they really shine.
@1q1q42 Dude, if you like this song, that's okay. I think they have better songs than this. Every great band makes a song or two that a large portion of their fan base isn't going to like as much. I don't think you're somehow inferior for liking a song that a lot of people don't like. Everybody's tastes are a bit different, but no one likes toad, so thanks, but no thanks. Why do all of their English songs sound underdeveloped to me? I feel like this song is just a prelude. I expect there to be more to it. It's still good though. I don't own the CD, is this song a prelude? Is the one after this song better on the CD? Will it cure my need for more?
I think this one sounds a little underdeveloped, too...like you're waiting for the guitars to really kick in or something. I really like their other English stuff, like Supernova and Swallow, but bands are always better in their native language.
I'm not a big fan of Oomph but that song sounds to me fucking perfect and that's just a bonus track!
