I think this went pretty well. I couldn't think of a match for Haruhi, too, so don't feel bad about it. I can see why you went with Kyouya for L, and Tamaki for Kira. I would've put Kyouya as Kira, though, just because he has the little black book of his ALL THE TIME. I could see him being compelled to DN someone. Plus, Kira/Kyouya + Misa/Renge would match evenly. Although, that -does- leave Tamaki partner-less. Very well thought out.

Near as Kaoru because he thinks everything threw and same reasoning as Hikaru. Mikami is Nekozawa, because they are both eviillll and care about SERTAN people. Misa is Renge, you HAVE to understand THAT. Annoyinces, stupid, used. Matsuda is Tamaki because they love girly stuff (Matsuda and Misa) (Tamaki and Haruhi) plus they try to help alot and it never usually works, and they over exagerate everything.

L is Kyoya, L speaks all monotone and he's always monetering everyone and reasons things. Also they are brilliant. Light is Haruhi, When Light is innocent and cant remember the death note he is still smart, and so is Haruhi. Mello as Hikaru Well Hikaru and Kaoru are related, and so are Mello and Near, and Hikaru was Mello (not near) because he's the one who doesint think things threw and is more mistchevius.

I would say Tamaki is more like Matsuda. and Haruhi is more like Light than Tamaki. Haruhi as more collected than Tamaki and Haruhi as also very smart. Renge as Misa is perfect. Matt's match up is ok. Hikaru is spot on as Ryuk but i dont think Kaoru is as much. Kaoru would be more like Near i think. oh well :)

Hikuru = Mello (Emotions get the better of them)

Kaoru = Matt (Mello+Matt=Brotherly love~!)
