It's origin started in the south of England over 100 years ago, by the tin miners. An ogi is a cornish pasty.When it was time to eat, the person with the pasty's would shout OGI OGI OGI !! and the miners would reply by shouting OI OI OI !!

It was also used by boy scouts , English football team Chelsea in the 70's and also the Welsh rugby fans.
