  • Burts voice was unbelievably good during this era. Not as good now, but that's just life. Wish this lineup could have paced themselves and got along much longer.

  • I remember Barry Allen had a minor hit with this tune. His version was good, but Burton really nails it!

  • The song i love to hate & hate to love! My girl screwed my best friend and there you go! Still...The Guess Who carried me thru the whole darn mess - till the record wore out.

  • Has a cool "Pet Sounds" groove.

  • The voice. the music...Destined for greatness. Looking back now at the successes and the notoriety. One of the best bands in history. Thank you, Burton Cummings.

  • how does a 21 year old kid write songs like this? rap this..YOU RAPPERS YOU.

  • one of the least played songs by the guess who. WHY? Bachman has a superb writing mind and with burtons vocals makes this song incredible. My favorite band of all time

  • A female soul singer sampled this as well. Would you happen to know who it was? The had a very raw, raspy voice. I know The Staple Singers sampled it as well but I know that version. Any help please...Thank you!

  • yes he is the GOD of the north, i just wish he would come to H-TOWN

  • one of my favorite songs ever, burt cummings you are a genius.

  • @AshleeGantonSinging Actually written by Randy Bachman but expertly sung by ol Burt!

  • 1:36 sounds just like plant

  • Burt won the hand, Randy threw the cards in

  • I once met Burt at a autograph session. I praised him for this tune. He told me it was Randy's tune. Randy may have wrote it, but Burt owns the publishing rights from Nimbus 9. This caused a major rift between Randy and Burt. He got to the publishing rights for their tunes before Randy, and did not share. I read it in Randy's book. Oh well...that's business.

  • yes!we all know who NY was,huh gqjohnny?

  • I saw the Guess Who in '72 and '75 both at the Grandstand at the Canadian National Exhibition, both were sold out. I was close to the stage for both, it was fabulous!!!!! They were so tight as a band, even with the new members.

  • @papermason I remember seeing you at the 75 concert. You were in the jean jacket and blue jay hat.

  • LOL! LOL! LOL! 99ONTGUY, I'm afraid that I've never owned a pair blue jeans or a blue jay hat in my entire life! I was still into polyester stuff. Now, I wear black denims and a purple velour hat. I've gone rad!!!

  • You must have been the guy beside the guy in the blue jay hat lol.

  • @99ONTGUY, no, LOL! I'm not a guy!

  • One of their most beautiful songs...<3

  • @ThePeaceTurtle Hi Carly. Guess who this is.

  • Could you post " I found her in a star"?

  • What a great melody!

  • Randy wrote this song, showing his jazzy side just like Undun. Burton always praised this song. And I agree about Pink Wine Sparkles in the Glass, a great song that maybe could have been a follow up to These Eyes.

  • Man!This is so great!this is California music even though the group was Canadian!takes me back to my childhood!

  • i think ronnie dyson as the best version

  • not that it matters i have the orginal lp cummings and bachman wrote this one,

  • A classic gem--a beautiful song and album. Thanks for taking back to the ninth grade!

  • This is a great song!!!One of my faves off WHEATFIELD SOUL!also great is Pink wine sparkles in the glass

  • I couldn't agree more.
