Didn't mean to attack you 'greatestmusicchannel' with my comment from 'Gsongs'.
You've done a great upload of George's songs on this album - each one was an absolutely brilliant production ! - I loved them all -
But, I was also looking forward to hearing the 3rd record from the album ("Apple Jam") which has some great Instrumentals on it, but you didn't upload that one.
Was there a specific reason why you didn't include the third record ?
(I'm now still trying to find it somewhere on YouTube)
I thought this was a fine find on George's Birhday today !
It's still such a great and outstanding album ! ! ! Including the title and fact that all things really must and do pass ... (including himself, and sadly much too early, like so many great artists)
BUT, shortly after my initial joy, I found to my disappointment that this is NOT the FULL album ...! The third record (i.e. Side 5 and 6) is not uploaded and included. Why not ?
We are missing some great (mostly instrumental) stuff here !
One of Harrison's best albums but not totally great. Best tracks were "What Is Life", "Apple Scruffs" and the title song. And -of course- the big single hit!
man, i have to say. it's been a long time since i've listened to this album from beginning to end. years, in fact. it's so nice to hear it with fresh, older ears... having lived some more life. i love it even more. <3
i found this album in my stepdad's storage shed as a teen. i got into the beatles when i was about 15-16 years old after they aired the "beatles anthology" on tv in 1995 or 1996. (i believe i got on board in 1996. i believe it first aired in '95 and they re-aired it in '96, if i remember correctly.) had a turn being a ringo starr girl, but george quickly won my heart & still has it to this day. <3 ;-) i love "ATMP" even more now as a 32 year old.
This is the first time I've listened to this in its entirety since I gave away the LPs back in probably 1978. I gave away my whole Beatle collection (over 90 albums including bootlegs, individual efforts, and European versions) because they had become too important to me. I almost literally worshiped The Beatles back then. I could still listen to their music all day long and never get tired of it, even their worst stuff as individuals. I've never thought of them as anything but The Beatles.
I mean, INCREDIBLE album with pristine production on it. A consistent sound through that you can get way into, essential as the CSN porch album, a classic. Manif you ask me it beats the Plastic yoko band and the bowl of cherries. Just me though, I just dig the freedom here in the jammin, no podium, no tricky little tunes, just a sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet jam, my sweeeeeeeeeeeet jam.
@tattoofthesun or .. a plastic bowl of cherries on a porch with dave,steve&graham..
brother, you know that George had top-notch guest's/help on this jam.John had some of those friend's/contributor's but i think that he was more the master & Paul baked his own pie. i admired.beatle George the most but over the year's,i've had to realize something abt his artistry.i think that this is a all egg's -in one basket&this player wasn't as good thereafter i loved him much/luv this record.
@JohnAllanification quite right there in your impression about Harrison, this was surely his own masterpiece and half because of him going to see Bob Dylan and The Band which I was just readin about. other half because of how much material he had left oo'er from what John or Paul wouldn't take. but still... paul had Ram which i fuckin love and john had imagine which i think is even better than the first. George, as you say, all eggs in, this here is his big howl post beatles
y'know,i've often wonder'd abt john&paul not -seeing in George what we did. our number's included eric and dylan, after all - they obviously saw this beatle.
One of my all-time favorite albums from the true "salt of the Earth" Beatle. But, George was much bigger than the Beatles. HIs life of spiritual pursuit, altruism, and charity continue to inspire me....om shanti shanti shanti.
@rmeastjr But he could have done a lot more, a great man no doubt, but his net worth was estimated to be 200-400 million dollars...a true spiritualist and humanist would have donated that to a good cause....but Harrison gave his money to his son Dhani (who then became one of the richest entertainers under 30). But there are more influential people than G.H..some people I know devote 20+ hours a week to volunteering and donate more than 10% of thier income...more of a sacrifice than Harrison did
Always been my favorite Beatle, even before I heard anybody's solo stuff. Come on, Within You and Without You really beats the crap out of Yellow Submarine (not that there's ever been a bad Beatles tune)
@LeonardAaron Stop being an asshole, you know damn well Copyright bollocks is stopping us from hearing our favourite music, so if it is sped up or pitched, I can't notice it, you must have a damn fine ear, or maybe you are just a contentious wanker. We need this music back online, no matter how we go about it.
@sugarplumfairiie@sugarplumfairiie It was just a question! No need to be abusive about it! I actually did NOT know that was the reason! You're hardly a "sugar plum fairie"! If you like George so much, try adapting some of his peaceful, serene nature!
George was known by his friends and family as being an avid gardener. A lot of pictures where taken in and around his mansions many flower beds, etc. On the cover of this great album you see him in his work boots that would later become quite a legal problem for him. Trivia: Any idea why? (His house was raided by overzealous police and in those boots were a couple of kilos of hashish.) I always liked this guy... Miss him...
Obrigado George.
Thanks for sharing this...always liked George...seems more of the genuine article than the others...ok maybe....and he was a good friend of Claptons...that helped I guess!
@LiveReignLive thats what i thought bc i know his son dhani sings that at the concert for george and i couldnt remember if it was in the original too or if he just added it in there
Wonderful to hear All Things Must Pass on vinyl - brings back great memories. Beautifully warm and haunting songs. As Rolling Stone said, "Songs of the mountain tops". One of my top 3 albums. I miss George, his music and his light. Thanks for the upload.
Thank you SO MUCH for uploading this. Very hard to find on Youtube proper studio versions of my favourites like 'Beware of Darkness' and 'Wah-Wah'. Cheers from a long time George lover.
@LaurenBox like you was searching everywhere for the album versions of well the entire album. I used to be able to and then suddenly none was available anymore. So happy I stumbled on to this channel! Miss you George!
Imust say thanks for this long post..I first bought this album when it came out..i was a lad..young lad..i still have the vinyl..bought several times since in cd form..thanks for the post
I live in Rio de Janeiro and I'm one of those who have this absolutely wonderful "Triple Album".
There is no "speed up" at all; no pitch but the normal one. There is only one song, a Jam, where he uses pitch+ and pitch- just for joke BUT the Jam is not included here. Anyone can notice this pitch joke. I guess it's on "It's Johnny Birthday".
Thanks for uploading and let other people know this work.
@GreenGirl32Jess I believe it is. I've listened to these songs for years, as well as other albums/songs that GMC has up that are the same. Pitch higher than supposed to be. It's still cool he/she has put them all up though.
So many great songs. I bought the CD set for My Sweet Lord, and discovered so many great songs like Apple Scruffs, Frankie Crisp, Beware of Darkness, All Things Must Pass, and What is Life. Amazing album, George was truly held back being in the shadow of Lennon/McCartney. Great songwriter, solid guitar, and a voice that was weak but with interesting tone. Such a good spin.
Didn't mean to attack you 'greatestmusicchannel' with my comment from 'Gsongs'.

@ladyfuschia
I think by either changing the speed, pitch, tempo, or etc. or simply recording the audio of vinyl directly, you can bypass the filters.
