  • Kawaiidorable!!!

  • I love Morning Musume! ^__^

  • No where in the comments did I find the words "KAWAII".

Idiot. Not every person that listens to JPop attempts to use "KAWAII" in a sentence. Some of us are normal fans that just like listening to music.

  • You're the faggot. Krnflydude is right. I love listening to J-pop and I never use kawaii. One because I know that if you really want to learn Japanese, you have to know more than one word for the same meaning and also because it's just overused.

  • Except that Kawaii is the only word that means cute.

  • It doesn't even mean "cute." Literally translated, it means "adorable" which is somewhat different.

  • Actually judging from all the information I have the japanese translation for cute and adorable is kawaii.

Now it is possible my information is wrong not likely but possible.

  • How is that different from what I said? In modern usage it can mean "cute" -- because traditional Japanese doesn't have the concept -- but the actual written word 「可愛い」 translates as "adorable."

In fact, by definition, using "kawaii" to mean "cute" is a colloquialism. The word has a formal, primary meaning, but through common usage it has taken on an informal, secondary meaning.

This could go on hours. My point is that it's oversimplifying to flatly declare "kawaii means cute".

  • How you put it in your first comment was that it doesn't mean cute so the way you said it was misleading.

But yeah that makes sense, and I had no way of knowing that, because I thought the translation of kawaii was cute, so I never searched for the original definition because I thought I had it, so I suppose thanks for the correction.

  • umm this song is it for a morning kids show in japan?? not being mean but is it?? ITS SO CUTE!! hehehe

  • It is pretty cute, but no, I don't think it's for a kiddie show.

  • lol no to answer ur question they are a sub group of an enormously popular jpop group called morning musume, dat is under H!P (hello!project) produced by a man tsunku. this sub group is called pucchi moni and it consist of goto maki, yasuda kei and ichi sayaka, all of which are original members of morning musume. if u want more info just go to wikipedia and type morning musume or hello!project.
