I obviously know how good a player Phil is, but youtube typically only has videos of him losing because of it's entertainment value. So, it's very surprising to see a video of him winning.

I know the situation is different, but the hand i describe was a 6max cashgame, this is full-ring so the situation is not really different. With 6-max the range people raise you is alot bigger.
@ThijsBijpost clearly you can't read. the situation is MUCH DIFFERENT. in the PAD 6 max, jean robert just called peter jettens utg raise after phil hellmuth. Ferguson who everyone knows is a NIT raises it 5500 more into 3 other players in a pot he will be out of position. he is almost NEVER doing this as a bluff, with a medium strength hand he would just call the raise or fold his weaker hands. jean-robert's play was BAD, phil's was reasonable, two different situations. do you get it now???

Phil's move was designed to get people to fold and win the dead money in the pot. Farha then comes over the top of Phil to show him that he actually had a hand. The question should really be how does Phil not give Sam credit for a monster that had him dominated.
