This was recorded late '04/early '05. Other ways to play GB games have been developed since then... Plus the cartridge was actually flashed and never changed a few years before the DS was released :D
Wait, couldn't you cut those little slots in the GBA Slot on the DS (those little tabs inside, not the gold pieces. They're usually the same color as the bottom of the DS), since the GBC games can't fit because of that? Wouldn't that work?
if you do find those multi-game cartridges that include old GB and NES games, those will work as well. Just goes th show nintendo is ripping us of our cash
I had a theory on how you get this to work. GBA Action Replay. Some versions can fit regular GB games on them, and the AR can fit into the DS GBA slot. I'm looking for my AR to try this out. if anyone has tried this, please tell me if it works
I am aware of that. if it breaks, its my own fault. I don't plan on holding you responsible for anything, because I shouldn't punish anyone for my own stupidity.
You can't play GBA roms from Games'N Music or Action replay if it's a slot 1card(i.e. The DS game cards). You can play GBA roms if you have a slot 2 device (The GBA card slot). It has to do with the DS and it's two processors which don't work together on GBA games.
yea. with a supercard, you can play the entire GB, GBC, GBA , NDS collection on your NDS. you might have to file down the cartridge in order for it to fit though...but the technology is inside the console so it works.
Actually this can be done using Goomba, a GB/C emulator for the GBA. Either get a GBA Movie Player, Super Card, Flash Cart, etc. Then get the emulator and use Goomba builder to fuse emu with the ROM image you want. You don't have to do this for the GBAMP versions. I've played Wario Land:SML 3 on my DS using this method and it's great :).

You're not playing a gameboy game. Get out of here. Its Platinum. Oh wait Pokemon games are so redundant I probably wouldn't see a difference. lol.

wow, the Ds proves that the gameboy color did in fact have very small screens

larkija 3 years ago
The GBO & GBC use different processors than what's in the DS.
It would be kinda like getting windows to work in the older IBM macs.
It's possible to play the games, but not without emulation.
pluto 3 years ago
WHY CANT THEY STRETCH THE F*%#$ SCREEN so it fills the whole area.
its too small to be playable. dont even waste your time with this emulator. get a gameboy emulator running on PDA, palm pilot, PocketPC,
MEDIA PLAYER, IPHONE, cellphone, or anything that can RESIZE the image.
superspudz2000 3 years ago
my gosh... brings back memories XD and shows how small the screen used to be.. wow XD

you can do GBC. just download Goomba Color.
TehGoomba 3 years ago
u can put a gameboy game in the slot on the bottom(or is tht only on the ds lite??)
manurok1 3 years ago
Only Gameboy Advance games will fit in the slot.
Gameboy Original or Gameboy Color games won't fit unless the hardware is tampered-with.
Even if the cartridge is forced-in, the DS won't play it because it doesn't have the required CPU.
It's kinda like trying to put windows on an older PowerPC based Macintosh; it won't work with-out emulation.
