@Trashcansam123 yeah. Think she just practiced everything she just said and when that german guy talked in a really fast, fluent german language, she can't understand anymore! Hilarious!
@ledhicks I think it's disturbing that in US television, Germans are so often played by people from the scandinavian area. We speak German in Austria, so I can tell you that this man is not a native speaker. In fact, I think that Tina is doing better than him accent-wise.
He says: Wir fliegen heute ab nach Deutschland zurück und müssen [talks so fast it's gibberish, even for native germans] Es gibt keine Zeit für Ambivalenz. Was ist ihr eigentliches Angebot?
I'm german, but I don't understand the meaning. I understand the most part of the words, but the last part is not understandable :) greetings from Germany:)
hahhaaaha her german is really good!! she sounds like she´s been practising for a while. The guy though has a very strong accent. He´s definetely NOT (native) german
To clarify, this is the German text: "Wir fliegen heute abend nach Deutschland zurück und müssen nicht hier Trauen verspielen. Es gibt keine Zeit für Ambivalenz. Was ist die eigentliche Angebot?"
@saeepaliwal I think you've got it dead on. Here's my English translation of that: "We're flying this evening back to Germany, and we must not gamble with trust (Vertrauen verspielen) here. There is no time for ambivalence. What is the actual offer?"
Oh my god, those subtitles for what she understood were perfect. Exactly how I feel when I hear someone speaking a foreign language I've studied a while ago xD
@theoilysic We're flying back to Germany this evening and have to play "something (didn't quite get it xD)". There's no time for ambivalence, what's really the offer here?
Something like that xD I've only learnt German for 7 Months... so not very good yet :P
@stevtomato they say they're going to be late for something, although i'm not sure what, he speaks so damn fast! liz's german is good though, her accent is nice
The melody of her voice actually sounds more german than the guy's. She just messes up the sentence grammatically, though.

Whatever language this guy speaks, it's not German trust me. I am German. Can't understand a word.
I think I get what he's trying to say but it's just German words fitted in an english syntax... with an english accent. .
Like really NBC?
You couldn't manage to find ONE actor who actually speaks German XD
The scene is funny anyway

He said something about and ambivalent English answers at the end of the sentence, didn't he? I need some German language lessons.

Hey native german speakers, don't you just love that, when the german on american shows doesn't make any sense. This makes it even more funnier.

At least it's not over-portrayed as an aggressive language (like most; just look at Sarah Chalke)
