I love the song. I remeber when I first heard the wrong child at a mall record shop. It moved me so much I broke into tears. Watching your slide show did that to me again. It invoked a memory inside a memory if that makes sense

"Green" was like the 3rd cd I ever bought. I had just gotten a cd player for my 15th birthday. Rattle and Hum/u2 and "viva hate"/ morrissey were the first and second. I remeber the night very well because it was the night George Bush sr. was elected president. I also remeber that i was in the exact same store 4 years later when Bill Clinton was elected President listening to "automatic for the people." (great songs provoke memory and details)

Not to question you, but I heard that the song was written as a response to a young boy who suffered third-degree burns in a house fire and because the family couldn't afford the surgery, he had to go for years with grafts on his face, and thus the isolation from the other kids.

I really love what you did with this song! I have cried to this song a few times. I always thought it was about a disabled child who couldn't go out and run around like the other kids. I have a cousin with severe cerebral palsy and when I heard this song the first time (wow... almost 20 years ago) I thought of him.

I love to see these positive remarks, especially on one of my virtual all time favorites. This is the best it gets. So totally depressing yet beautiful and magical.
