dear maureen - i have really, really loved this song for years and years. I have
listened to the wondrous recordings of gregory norbet, the composer, singing it
almost countless times. today, for the first time, i heard you sing it and i'm just moved beyond words. You bring new lights and new warm very comforting and encouraging colors to the song that amaze me. Thank you so much! May the great love and blessing you give to God and the human family come back round to you in awesome ways.
Maureen, just when I think you can't enchant me more than you have already done, I find another which makes me appreciate you even more. God bless you and your voice.
Listened again. Sunday I was thinking of the theme of forgiveness and adultery the story of Hosea. We also read the St. Francis prayer. I am a catechist in the Diocese of Fresno and I consider it an important part of my public service.
O gra lem chroi fe run is tu......I very much like your repetoire, Maureen. As a young man one of my favorites was Mary O' Hara -a very, very nice and personable lady-and she was the first person whom I ever heard in person sing Irish Gaelic songs (we did sing Scottish Gaelic songs at home and I was surprised that some were very similar or the same). But your performances really are definitive. And of course I love you songs of faith. As a man of faith myself I like hymns very much.
My sister's choir sang it when i was really young and still I could never get it out of my head so I'm having it sung at my wedding next month by a small group of girls in my parish. I cry listening to it now so God help me on that day!
I was worried it was more of a funeral song but I think the words can suit any occasion.
@lindsaykuniyuki Thanks for the comment. I am sorry I cannot remember. I think it was on an internet site. Maybe you you google Jesus pictures! Hope that works. I found lots of lovely pictures.
I really love this song and have noticed many have played it at funerals. However I thought it would be fitting for a wedding to (more directed towards the bride and groom) and really want to play it at my wedding. Has anyone ever heard it at a wedding?
@horselover333ful my wife and I greeted guests about halfway up the main aisle as they entered the church. We then walked up the aisle together as a small choir sang this song accompanied by a couple of guitars
selected this song for my mothers funeral. it is the only way i can get close to her. words mean so much to me... im not sure if she knew i even liked this song but i know she would have loved it. fitting tribute to the best mum in the world. thanks maureen.. r i p ma.
thank you for posting this it made me cry, I loved it so much when I was a child.
and I love the painting that you included of jesus laughing and holding the little children. I don't think we remember enough that jesus must have laughed
we sing this as an entrance song during the lenten season in our Parish Church and I really love it. The message really touches my heart. May God showers you, Maureen, for the good deeds that you do.
Maureen, this is so very beautiful. I play this almost every single morning. I feel so 'in touch', with our Lord, when I just 'see' Him singing this to me. It is especially instrumental when I feel so distant from Him. This brings me right back to Him.
Bless You and thank You for allowing Him to bless us thru YOU!
Very beautiful.

I believe this song is from verses in the Book of Hosea. It's what Hosea said to his wife when he forgave her for being unfaithful.
