  • To the top comment guy, would Ali really have just picked up wrestling and submissions like that? Yeah right!

  • This is stupid all theses comments are stupid as hell... To simply.put it if u put both of them in their right elements they woild win... If Inoki was told to just box against Ali he would have lost, n if Ali was told to wrestle or mma with Inoki he would have lost.. Nuff said

  • This fight is just like Couture vs Toney it proves nothing.

  • Comment removed

  • At any time Inoki could defeat Ali, when Ali is knocked down Inoki the referee could have destroyed it nevertheless I take pity on of and it put it to happen from the first roud for what indisputably Inoki habria conquered to Ali that as Boxer was good but not tape-worm nothing that to face a fighter of Inoki's size

  • Then why did they make so many restrictions for Inoki ,Ali had no restrictions and was told to let his hand go.Inoki was told he wasn't allowed to take ali down,or use his fist when standing, only open hand strikes, he couldn't hit ali on the ground or try to submit him, basically he was only aloowed to slap the best boxer alive while ali boxed himi

  • @MMAsavedME

ali has no restrictions? he was wearing gloves haha

  • Ali was free to let his hands go,Inoki wasn't allowed to use his fist,he was only allowed to slap ali on his feet, he wasn't allowed to go for a takedone,he wasn't allowed to hit ali on the ground wasn't submit ali,at anytime ali could touch the rope and Inoki had to let him up. .keep in mind ali was the best boxer in the world at the time, and Inoki was basically told he was only allowed to slap box ali while ali boxed him, whichis completeluy unfair, so think about that before you diss inoki

  • LOL Why are we acting like this is a real fight? 'Why would Ali risk injuring in going all out against Inoki? He has nothing to gain. His body is his livelihood and boxing is where he gets his big checks. Breaking his hand would sideline him. Ali really has no real incentive to try. Inoki on the other hand would want to prove himself against Ali. Inoki probably trained for this shit and I'm pretty sure Ali probably just showed up.

  • @ajchikezie if ali went all out, it wont even last one minute, so no, it has no risk on his health whatsoever

  • Throughtout his career Ali fought powerful men like Liston,Foreman and Frazier. What do you guys think, this crappy wrestler was more powerful than them.Just see haters what a big heart Ali had.He did not want to kill inoki in front of his own people so he agreed for a draw.

  • @ginnigreatest Wow you are just immature and misleading. Get real already. You have no idea how many restrictions they put on that Jap guy. Ali's camp even demanded the rules made public after the fight. What the fuck. See for yourself. Unless you yourself are a fraud.

  • To all Ali haters, can't you see that Japanese faggot Inoki was totally at Ali's mercy. If Ali wanted he could have gone to the mat and pound hm with his deadly punches but Ali did not do so b'coz he knew Inoki did not have that much strength to resist Ali's attack and would have died in the ring.

  • @cozmic24 That's kind of the whole point, Inoki didn't want to get punched.

  • inoki was a great tactician in this one, doing what he could with the rules being what they were

  • the rules didnt allow inoki to do takedowns and wrestle so what do you expect? wrestling > boxing anyways

  • @Yoni123 according to Frank Mir, wrestling > boxing. he's calling Lesnar to beat Overeem.

  • This was most definately a shoot (I.E real)...which is why is was so dull/bad. On an interesting side-note, Vince McMahon Jr. handled the North American promotion of the fight.

  • где бой то?

  • One of the greatest fights ever!

  • Of course this fight shouldt had happen but Chill guys its over, this is 36 or 37 years ago.

  • just shows how muhammed ali would get raped by any mma fighter, or wrestler or bjj practitioner back then. may be the best boxer but not the best fighter. and this is coming from a life long ali fan.

  • @manz92 life long fan born 20 years after ali lost most of his brain. Shut the fuck up kid, he was a boxer, if he trained for mma he would have probably be the best at it too. And this fight was one of the greatest jokes mankind has come up with since religion. Please get breast cancer or something.

  • @onokaoonokao damn, i hope that was a rage moment and you didnt mean that otherwise i see the devil coming for you anyhow, ali could have been good in mma, maybe but hes a boxer, and mma beats boxing simple.

  • @alphamonX Yeah it can happen bare-knuckled. I was just meaning the gloves though, when you still wrap your knuckles you'll rarely break them because the last two knuckles are secured tightly enough and won't slip.

  • i read this was supposed to be a show. but inoki did not think so. he butt scooted and kicked ali's legs hard. you cant box with out strong legs.

  • It's ridiculous Ali has to wear gloves when this goon can kick him without any protection haha

  • Dumbest thing i've ever seen.

  • Plus you can tell Ali hardly took it seriously because he has ALOT better footwork than he displayed here

  • You guy are dicksuckers like seriously...How can you possibly say Ali is a coward ?? He fought some of the greatest and hardest hitting punchers to ever get into a boxing ring..This fight was stupid and it also messed with Ali's boxing career because he has soars and shit on his legs after this fight...Half of you dont have half the heart Ali has...

  • this was a fixed fight its not real ali was supposed to acidently hit the ref and stand over him concernd and inoki was to kick ali in the face and ali fake knock out then loose the fight because of sucker kick but when ali heard he was going to loose he wanted a real fight then 6 days before the fight the rules were changed no grapling for inoki and ali no jabs or right hands just a couple of punches through out the fight this is not boxing vrs mma this is riged fight with no winner

  • isn't that kind of cowardly....

  • screw ali he a coward putting those rules on inoki

  • what is inoki trying to do?

  • Screw Inoki! He should have stood up and fought like a man, not wriggled on the ground like a worm!!

  • @scampynoXD Inoki had a huge list of rules imposed against him because Ali was scared to "fight like a man."

  • @Immortalsyn83

Ali was past his prime. the fight was fixed from the beginning so Ali could get a $6million paycheck. it was supposed to be like a WWE match up, with a

predetermined out come. Why would Ali take a real match up against a grappler? A boxer can't beat a grappler bc a boxer has no ground game.

  • @lalamango1 Barely, this happen in 76 & he didn't fully retire from boxing until 81. This match originally was supposed to be a fix however once Ali found out he was supposed to lose he demanded it changed to actual competition. He accepted the bout because he was offered 6 million however demanded a huge list of limitations against Inoki which prohibited the wrestler from utilizing his dominate skill sets. Inoki wasn't allowed to even kick Ali without having one knee grounded.

  • this was a fake fight not real lots of rules on both sides ali could only jab inoki could only kick punch and tackle they had to go out of there syles to fight like this

  • Comment removed

  • Ali fought like a bitch

  • @bussinful ...listen here .......the asian guy was on the floor most of the time so how would you hve done different than ALI........if the guy had always stayed on foot then im sure that AIwuld have knocked him out. besides ALI did get the last hit

  • inoki fought like a girl.

  • @777digger777 You should see this .youtube.com/watch?v=oGNNJRU5bKM&feature=related

When Ali look Inoki training ,Ali afraid to Inoki.Ali demanded the rule from Inoki. Inoki cannot kick though stands. Inoki cannot use the technique of the joint. Inoki cannot use the elbow. And, because Ali was a chicken, the prohibition of the announcement of this rule was demanded. Inoki accepted a disadvantageous rule.

  • Inoki totaly trolled Ali

  • fukin short ass ,a bomb eatin ass muthafukas

  • Typical grapplers, crawling on the ground like worms instead of fighting like actual human beings...

  • It might have been a good thing that these rules were so fucked up and confusing prior to to the fight. I think had they actually allowed it to be anything goes, Inoki would have either broke one of Ali's legs with a kick or injured him in some other way with his submissions. Then he wouldn't have a career left. Smart of Inoki to stay on his back though, kind of reminds me of Werdum lol.

  • one of the bright ideas from 1970

  • wow that guy kicks like a complete faggot.

  • Inoki would smash Ali in a street fight.

  • @2431346

ali is a boxer, not a street fighter.

anyway, in a street fight you can also grap your opponent

  • that leg injury ultimately shortened his career so yeah this fight should never have happened.Gimmick exhibition matches can fuck up your career too

  • hey, It's the first Werdum Vs Overeem 2.

  • what a sham, shameless payoff

  • Ali is tough as nails, there's guys who would have quit after the firs leg kick but he kept going.

  • Ali spent time in the hospital after this.

  • Apparently these guys really hated each other. They decided to do it as shoot fight which is why it sucked. Inoki wouldn't box up because Ali would have knocked his head off. Ali wouldn't go to the ground because Inoki could have snapped every bone in Ali's body.

  • THIS IS RIDICOULOUS ALI MUST HAVE REALLY NEEDED THE MONEY

  • Well, now it's letting me watch it XD.

And you can tell Inoki knew he was going to win this fight, or at least thought he was going to win.

  • Thumbs up if your computer is 'SHITTT.

Well mine is so i can't fucking watch this video.... RAAAAGEE!

  • @xLEGITIMATEGAMINGx

    Praise urself happy

I guarantee u, u felt better beffore then after.

Or well, when u have some green stuff to smoke/eat etc i guarantee u a good exercise for ur abdominals, yea warning, big chance u get a tremendous laughing kick. it will kick in when Inoki's starts to .... "kick" ... (soccer tackle on the man-->> red card in the original sport)

Well, you don't even need the green stuff for a good laugh.

  • Anyone who thought Ali was just playing is bullshit. The reason he was smiling and laughing is a common sign of fighters when they get hurt and they're trying to counter react the pain with a facial expression that says opposite, it's almost an instinctual reaction to his injuries that put that fool in the hospital

  • Ronki is just a nigger muslim who's butt hurt a nigger muslim lost to a small jap. hahaha

  • ronki23 is an idiot

  • Comment removed

  • @ochimusya30 yeah im aware of that

  • Thumbs up if Ali lost

  • @orochikuriasuu

This wasnt even close to a fight, so there can't be a winner lol

Inoki wasn't allowed to wrestle and ali couldn't box cos inoki was only on the floor lol

  • @isostar5 it wasn't a close fight, because Inoki beat the crap out of him. Ali was allowed to punch him anyway he want, he just didn't know ground and pound. The rules that were made were made by Ali to make the fight easier and protect him. Even with the rules he got OWNED

  • @orochikuriasuu

    I said it wasn't a fight, i didn't say it was close.

    Showboating vs the Soccer sliding/tackle

    Is that fighting?

If he beat the crap out of Ali then Ali didn't carry any crap in him.

If i would have fought Ali those days, and he would only think i could wrestle well, i would have 'won' also, mister bean would have won and imagine, even you would win on ur own vision of this .

    This was a farce.

A shame for boxing and wrestling.

  • @isostar5 These were Ali's rules. You seem to forget that. Ali made the rules so he would be protected. Ali tried to make the fight easier for him. Ali was beat up so bad he was put in the hospital. Yeah, i'd say that was a beating :D

  • @orochikuriasuu

Ali made the rule that he wanted Inoki to be on the floor?

    Weird very weird..

Ali did go to the hospital for an ointment for his damageded skin, yes ur right he could have bought it at a drug store..Ali, i never told he's tough..

Ever heard of a Low kick? I doubt it.. then you see real pain and damage, look it up if you don't believe me ;)

  • @isostar5 Yep. He said Inoki couldn't kick unless he was on his knees or lower. Didn't you ever read the background to this ?

  • @orochikuriasuu

No didn't read the background, i only remembered it from seeing it on tv that time and i can't recall those rules.

I wasn't searching for this but when i did see it appear at the right in the 'Suggesties' (suggestions, i'm dutch ;) ) i remembered it a bit and clicked it.. this way i see lot of vids here, most of it..

    Greetz, Jan

  • @orochikuriasuu

" beat the crap out of him"

Wanna see some real crap beat'n out?!

    Watch: Peter Aerts Highlight

    (by: LiouvilleVN)

  • @isostar5 Why do I want to watch that? It's irrelevant.

  • @orochikuriasuu

    Sweet reply.

  • @orochikuriasuu Ali Wins.

  • @2rasputin1 nope he lost.

  • @orochikuriasuu Ponka.

  • @2rasputin1 yeah Inoki won

  • please calm down, ronki23 doesn't look like a jackass AT ALL, he pointed out INCREDIBLY logical factors, and this match was a draw, so the implication that anyone lost is just foolish. Inoki didn't win, he squirmed around the whole time, and this match really isn't that special to fans outside of Japanese wrestling. Thats just the truth, this match is "significant to Inoki... thats it. Inoki may have "outlasted" Ali to a fool, but Ali never really touched him, cased closed. geez

  • @xIegionx it still means nothing-if he couldn't punch the guy when he was standing (something boxers are made for), it means little. However,i'm arguing with another guy called BigD on the video 'Muhammed Ali loses to a wrestler' and he says MMA is inferior to boxing and uses Mercer vs Sylvia as an example-he says Boxing has an 8-6 advantage to MMA. So i'm basically arguing for boxing on this vid and against it on that other vid lol

  • @ronki23 That was ali's fault who instigated the rules. It means Inoki kicked Ali's ass with handicap rules and would've decimated him with MMA rules. Thats just how much inoki owned ali

  • @xIegionx as other people say (in particular Big D)-he couldn't hit the guy when he was on the ground-Inoki himself said in an interview it'd be lights out if Ali hit him directly on the chin. I would hardly say Inoki owned Ali if Ali couldn't hit him when he was down so this match proves little except that MMA fighters have a bigger arsenal when on their backs

  • @ronki23 Ali COULD hit the guy when he was o the ground. Ali didn't know HOW to. Get that through your head.

Ali lost, he admitted it. The only person who doesn't believe Ali, is you.

  • @xIegionx I'll believe that he could hit Inoki when he was on the ground when I hear an interview/see the rules. HOWEVER, it seems you want to drag Ali down at every opportunity-are you Japanese or a white supremacist that you hate Ali,a black American so much? Perhaps you're an islamaphobe?

Ali IS the greatest in boxing-yet you go around saying he sucks just because he 'lost' in a so-called MMA match.

  • @ronki23 Ali was allowed to him him anyway he wanted. standing up or on the ground. he just didn't. He knew nothing of ground and pound

  • @xIegionx Ali knew nothing of ground and pound? The same ground and pound that many MMA fights end up in? The same ground and pound many street fights end up in? The same ground and pound that NEANDERTHALS and GORILLAS know how to do? Ground and pound is one of the most natural things in a fight-how could Ali-the greatest boxer of all time, not know it >_> Ali could ground and pound but that'd be dumb because A) Boxing is a stand up fight style and B) Inoki knew how to grapple.

  • @ronki23 even if the rules prohibited most of the grappling skills?

  • @xIegionx I don't know why you're judging the greatest boxer of all time on a fight where he couldn't hit a guy because that guy was on his back the whole time-Ali could punch down because of his long reach but power would be lacking. It was just as cowardly on Inoki's part for staying on his back-he could clinch/kick while standing if he wanted and even use standing grapples. This match proves little

  • @ronki23 He's not great. He got beat by a smaller guy with handicap rules against his opponent

  • @xIegionx I'll believe this 'loss' when it becomes popular-oh wait, it's not so people obviously think it proves nothing. MMA and Boxing are different sports with different rules. Even MMA is not the be-all-end-all of fighting. In a BOXING match, Ali would destroy Inoki.

  • @ronki23 Actually everyone knows htis as common sense, it's just you

  • ジョーン・リーにジーンラーベルとブルース・リーと交流があった2人が関わってるのに

    日本のブルース・リーファンが気にもかけないのが残念。

  • People here don't seem to know what fake wrestling is. Andre the Giant vs Chuck Wepner was on the prelims for this fight, for christ's sake.

  • lol Muhammad Ali talking shit cracks me up

  • This is big blemish for karate... *facepalm*

  • Big mistake from Ali.

  • You know there are fighters who outdo the the fitnesses of those celebrities you listed? ;/

Anyway; Ali may or may not have known what he was in for, however this event was ORIGINALLY going to be staged, like a pro-wrestling match. Ali wanted it tobea real fight, thus the handicap rules were put into action.

  • If this is real, the whole time it looked like Inoki just wanted to get fucked or something like a whore on her back....

  • ....was this real?

  • Inoki is so strong!!

  • Ali needed special rules to fight Inoki. Inoki was only allowed to kick WHEN HE WAS ON HIS KNEES OR LOWER. Even with handicap rules, Ali was sent to the hospital. HA!

  • @xIegionx was their another rule were he couldnt take Ali down

  • @McJohnson808 Nor could he do wrist locks. Ali got fucked up even with all the handicap

  • @xIegionx different ruleset/fighting system-his legs were not used to getting hit because he was a boxer- a boxer is obviously tough enough for MMA since he's getting hit in the face/body full contact but they prefer to box instead-of course if they wish to do MMA they need to train in it

  • @ronki23 You should know it was Ali who instigated the handicap rules to make the fight easier and he STILL lost

  • @xIegionx it doesn't matter-Ali's trained in Boxing, not MMA- he doesn't have takedown defence or know how to defend against kicks because Boxing is hands only. Anyway, it was a draw and publicity stunt

  • @ronki23 Ali never looked at it like a publicity stunt even thought it was considered one, because Ali kept going on about how he was going to KO Inoki's big chin. If Ali knew it was a publicity stunt he wouldn't have gotten cocky. Even with his rules he lost. I call that hilarious and an achievement to proving why Ali wasn't the greatest.

  • @xIegionx he didn't lose-it was a draw. Not to mention he couldn't hit him if he was down (if I recall correctly). Ali was the greatest IN BOXING

  • @ronki23 It was called a draw because Ali couldn't take a loss to his career. By decision, clearly Inoki won that fight. Everyone said it, the "Greatest" couldn't handle the butt hurt of having a loss to a small japanese man

  • @xIegionx and with regards to that bit, Ali could obviously handle a loss because he was defeated by Joe Lewis and (near the end of his career), he lost two or three times more. Football and Rugby analogy

  • @ronki23 Ali actually claimed by the end of his career meaning his later losses were resulted in him not being in his prime and not fighting for the right reasons, etc etc, in other words an excuse for his losses which is why he didn't mind. But he could never have handled one (like this) in his prime. Anyone can clearly see Inoki won this. A lot of the fight was set up by his Managers, coaches, managers, agents etc. A lot of them told Ali there was no way he could win without the special rules

  • @xIegionx he probably couldn't but the rules are different-even if Inoki was standing Ali's legs would be shot. It just shows Inoki is an amazing fighter but it doesn't make Ali any less of a BOXER

  • @ronki23 But he's definitely much less of a fighter. Boxing is one aspect of fighting. Throwing kicks, grappling and all sorts an change the outcome of a fight, which is why in this case, clearly Ali was NOT the greatest at all. And his speech that NO one could beat him? I laugh at that.

  • @xIegionx of course it's only one aspect, he's the greatest for that only. If one were to make 'The Ultimate Fighter' via Frankenstein method, he'd have the speed of Ali, the power of Mike Tyson, the wrestling skill of Kurt Angle, the grappling skill of Royce Gracie, the fitness of Bruce Lee, and the kicks of Jean Claude van Damme. I also don't believe that Ali really meant half the stuff he said/I don't think he knew what he was in for.

  • @xIegionx I had a look at the match highlight-it proves little since Ali was clowning around most of the match e.g. holding the ropes and screaming and making funny faces. I also read Ali couldn't punch Inoki when he was on the ground and Inoki broke his foot from kicking Ali

  • @ronki23 Ali wasn't really clowning around. He was over confident. He thought he could knock Inoki out no problem because of Inoki's chin. Ali was getting kicked so badly he tried to make it sound like it was nothing, in other words "acting" like he wasn't hurt. NOPE, he was sent to the hospital. HA.

  • @xIegionx still doesn't matter-Inoki broke his foot and Ali couldn't hit him on the ground so this proves nothing

  • @ronki23 Inoki actually sprained it. Ali didn't know shit about the ground and pound or anything. His own handicap rules to help him win still cost him a lot.

  • @xIegionx In MMA he'd be good but not amazing- he'd win most of his fights due to his speed and stamina but of course he'd lose now and again. It's like saying someone who's good at football (soccer to Americans) isn't the greatest in Rugby because he didn't score a touchdown

  • @ronki23 ALI LOSSSSSSSSSSST

    He was ownedddd

  • @ronki23 hey i know xlegionx is a jerk but in the end he's correct. it's best you just not even comment anymore to prevent yourself from looking like a jackass

  • ali would lay him out

  • Doesn't his face looks like Takamura n hajime no ippo 7:27

  • @flaminsowrd11 hahahahaha

  • Inoki said recently "Ali's light one punch hit my side, but it broke my rib. Perhaps something else in Ali's gloves." Yes,Ali was a dirty chicken.

  • If the guy was able to do boots to the legs, they should've taken Ali's gloves off at least lol, just so it wouldn't look so dumb him trying to grab his feet with boxing gloves on

  • Replace Ali with Fedor and its over as soon as Inoki falls :D

  • Pink Floyd @ 7:23 "In The Flesh"

  • the reason Ali didn't hit the floor because he would get wrecked

  • pretty cool, I heard about this match at least a decade ago on blackbelt mag. didn't know there was an actual video. As anyone ever heard the rumor that this fight was originally supposed to be between Ali and Bruce Lee but since Lee died in 73 they decided to go with Inoki?

  • Ali would, without a doubt, have won this fight if Inoki remained standing the whole time.

  • @WillStLeger if ali wouldn't have nagged about the rules and would've fought on the initial wrestling rules, then Inoki wouldn't have done that. No tackle, no joint locks, no chops, kicks restricted to the upper side of the feet, no attacks to the torso or the neck... gee, I wonder why he had to do this to bring this match to a tie... fly like a pussy and sting like a mosquito

  • @nonynonyme Thing is, when standing, Inoki would have gotten pulverized. Ali's already beaten 2 other wrestlers with wrestling rules allowed. The fact Inoki lay on his back removed any possibility of Ali fighting back - he's the pussy. What would have been more manly? Staying up against the odds. What wasn't? Hitting the deck after your opening 2 attacks get dodged and remaining on the floor to make sure you score hits.

The fact Inoki tied, despite this blatant loophole, is pathetic.

  • @WillStLeger it all started when Ali said if any Asian man was up to have a match with him, and he was willing to go with wrestling rules at first. But somehow, the rules changed to almost the same as having a boxing match... now if Ali's the one looking for challenge, why would he have to change the rules so that ali would have complete advantage over his foes? is this not a... contradiction?

  • @nonynonyme actually it didn't. It started as a fixed fight. Look it up. Ali was planned to hit the ref, then get 'KO'd' by Inoki while helping the ref.

However, Ali didn't allow it, and, 2 days before changed the rules for whatever reason you want to believe.

It's not the same as boxing - Inoki throwing kicks everywhere - fighting off the ground.

Fact is, Ali, with very little time after believing this to be a fix, had no time to train, so the rules where changed to compensate.

  • @WillStLeger yeah, and why do you think Inoki had to throw kicks like that? Because the rules limited him to kick Ali in a designated way. If your kicks are limited, and your throws/joint locks limited, how do you not call this a boxing match designed for Ali? And you tell me that the rules were to compensate for his lack of time to prepare? bull shit he's been knowing about the match for the longest time, and you still say that he didn't have time?

  • @nonynonyme How do i not call this a boxing match? Someone can stay on the canvas and not get hit, while throwing kicks for easy points.

Face it, Inoki was clever to exploit this the way he did - clever of him do it and score a draw. But it's just plain obvious he would get wrecked standing up. Just watch the standing scenes again.

You clearly can't see it. I'm not making excuses for the rule change; tbh, i don't really care about it.

The fact is Ali ruled the standing game here. End of.

  • @WillStLeger

Inoki wouldve ruled the standing game EASILY if only he was allowed to use his wrestling.

If Inoki didnt have all these STUPID rules imposed on him, this fight wouldve ended in about 1 minute into the 1st round.

Ali wouldve been choked out or tapped out.

  • @SkemeKOS Wrestling isnt about standing up, your confusing yourself.

Just watch the first few seconds of the round. Inoki kicks twice, Ali dodges.

Even with grappling allowed, the only way Inoki could possibly win is sumission.

Your a fool if you say a wrestler stands with a boxer no problem.

  • @WillStLeger

Take downs and clinch work are a part of stand up.

Youre a fool if you think Ali could defend against those standing techniques.

Its easier to grab someone or take someone down than to score a 1 punch KO.

  • @SkemeKOS I'm the fool? In UFC, tell me, what do they do against boxers? Stand? No, they don't, they tackle em.

    Take one guess why.

Boxers rule the standing game - undisputed fact. Please, actually watch the fight again, with an unbiased attitude. Inoki didn't follow those ridiculous kicking rules and still didn't land.

And KO Ali? Are you mad? One of the best chins in the history of boxing. George Foreman. 1 loss by TKO ever (when he was experiencing Parkinson's). Really?? Read up a bit mate.

  • @WillStLeger

Tackling is a standing technique and is more easier to do than scoring a one punch KO.

Which makes the wrestler more dominant in standing, as well as on the ground.

If boxers ruled at the standing game, why dont they have any takedown defense LOL

If they cant even stop from getting taken down, how can they even be considered to have superior stand up LOL

MMA fighters/Wrestlers have better stand up due to having the dominant clinch and takedowns/and defenses for them.

  • Comment removed

  • @SkemeKOS boxers dont have a take down defense, because boxers dont get taken down. It's kinda simple really. Thats why this match should not be debated as who was best, rather what was the fucking point of a totally flawed idea. How many years later did it take for MMA to be formed? This match was an embarassment..but not to the men fighting..but to the dullards that set it in motion.

  • @WillStLeger

Inoki DID follow the bullshit rule, why the fuck do you think he kept kicking like a retard?

You cant be serious, my friend!

    And he DID land.

PLEASE watch the fight again with your eyes open and without your biased attitude.

    And KO Ali?

Are you incapable of reading as well as well as facing facts?

When did I ever mention ANYTHING about KOing Ali?

    Get a fucking clue, mate.

  • Comment removed

  • @SkemeKOS

First - Inoki did not follow the rule - he didn't have 1 knee on the mat both times. I think that was the rule.

Second - Inoki did not land on him. Don't suggest I'm biased when you argue for a grappling sport's striking over a striking sport.

Third - Inoki's ability to KO or knockdown Ali is an important point nonetheless. Shame on you for not realizing. How else could Inoki rule a standing game?

    See other comment..

  • @SkemeKOS Tackling is a weak argument to base yourself on. Tackling is a standing technique, no doubt. Though it leads to grappling, which, I'm afraid is rather out of place in a discussion regarding the standing game.

I'm right, Inoki's only chance is a submission. He'd get wrecked by Ali's speed.

Don't call me biased when you argue that wrestling - a predominantly grappling based sport - will triumph over a Pure striking sport in the standing game.

    Please, educate yourself on boxing.

  • @WillStLeger

Please educate yourself on simple logic first, then do yourself a favour and educate yourself on fighting.

  • @SkemeKOS Guess that's game, set and match to me.

When someone resorts to 'LOL' as an appropriate response to an argument of any calibure, rest assured, you already know they're beat.

You need to grow up a bit if you can take yourself seriously.

I'm going to KCL, reading Pharmaceutical science, yet I'm stupid. Right. Good luck impressing others with your intimidating debating skills. ''LOL' ? Shame you turned out to be such a inconceivable - and childish - bigot.

  • @WillStLeger

Game set and match to you?

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

You need to snap back to reality, face facts and stop looking in the mirror when talking to me.

    Youre wrong, end of story.

I dont give a shit where youre going, or what youre reading, youre not smart when it comes to martial arts.

I mean, Albert Einstein was smart too...but even a martial arts dumbass like yourself could probably kick his ass.

    .....Stupid. LOL!!!

  • @SkemeKOS You are wrong, haha, the fact you can only resort to 'LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL' proves it.

Call me a dumbass more, it really supports the fact your - apparently - the greatest martial art and fight sport instructor and expert ever.

    Don't be a sore loser.

  • @WillStLeger

    LOL LOL LOL

    Dumbass.

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

You just hate the fact that Im right, and youre wrong LOL

Sort yourself out you dopey cunt.

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

  • @WillStLeger

At the end of the day, Ali SUCKS as a real fighter.

Hes a GREAT boxer, but sucks as a fighter.

Now face facts and shut up.

  • @SkemeKOS You're pathetic. That aside, I actually semi-agree with you.

My only inhibition to that is Ali's combination of a strong chin and speedy reflex.

Ah well, both me and you are too firmly rooted to change anything. Talk to you later, you fucking grade A wanker.

  • @WillStLeger

Yeah, talk to you later, you big fat dickhead.

I didnt wanna talk to you in the first place anyway.

    Jeus.

  • @SkemeKOS Inoki drew with Ali, despite having the refuge of lying on the floor and scoring easy points.

How could someone like you possibly ignore this?

This, regardless of your extrapolations, sets in stone the fact Inoki cannot stand up with Ali. Ali - the man famed for his speed. Ali - the man Inoki couldn't hit when standing. Vs Inoki - the main that failed win with a cheap tactic.

Beither man could fully use their own style. Inoki by rules and Ali by cheat. Although we still have a draw.

  • @WillStLeger

How could you possible be so stupid to say such crap?

    You cant be serious LOL

Youre totally insane if you believe in what you say.

Im done with this madness, so you can argue with someone else from now on.

  • @SkemeKOS 4:45 watch, Inoki scores a grand total of 1/4 kicks. Both standing Kicks failing and 1 ground kick hitting. What a load. Even if Inoki was being inhibited by the rules - which he seemingly ignored with the first few kicks - what else could he have done? Shoot for a tackle and just fall over? Aim for a clinch and get dodged?

Your blatant disregard for this - let's face it - eye-opening scene in the fight shows just how much your bias has hazed your decision making.
