The Catholic Bible does not include the apocrapha. They are Dueterocanonicals. WE don't need them to prove Catholic theology. @goldie450, A catholic asked me not too long ago if I pray to my biological mother, she passed on many years ago, and I said no because it is pointless and it is idolatry. This catholic starred at me in a state of shock. She was horrified that I don't pray to dead people. (Ecl 9:5-6, Deut 18:9-12). When I threw away my rosaries I honestly thought that Jesus would give up on me and never answer my prayers, but by golly He stood by me and He still does. Did you leave the RCC too?

The RCC does teach that Mary answers prayers, that's why they pray the rosary in her name and take all their petitions to her. @Goldie450 actually, since the bible is not the sole authority, since that is an impossibility, i do not only utilize scripture to hear the word of God. scripture tells me that the oral and written word are to be held to, so I listen to the oral and written word passed down from Jesus and the apostles. The apostles taught the people in the first century as is outlined in scripture, and they still teach the people today. the oral and written word of God are equal.

I was raised as a roman catholic, I am no longer a roman catholic. I threw away my rosary - I take all my joys and sorrows to Jesus. The early church fathers all used those books. There part of the septuagint which was the greek version of the jewish bible and some jews only stopped using it after a jewish council in 90ad so when luther looked at what books the jews were using he didn't find those books. In Luke 1:28, the Greek word "Kecharitomene" which is translated usually as "full of grace" really means one who has been perfected in grace as a past completed action. This and Genesis 3:15 show in seed form the dogma of the Immaculate Conception. It took a long time for theologians to develop the dogma of the Immaculate Conception just like Trinity. Just because the KJV renders Luke 1:28 as high favoured, does not mean that that is the most literal translation of the Greek. I do not "supposedly" learn the true meaning, I learn from those who know Biblical Greek. Please provide the definition of a cult and how Catholics fit that definition.

Paul rebuking Peter does not mean that Peter was not infallible when he spoke about faith or morals to the whole church. In Gal. 2:11-16 Paul was condeming Peter for his actions and NOT his teaching. Basically, Peter was not living up to the standards that he had set forth. That does not undermine papal infallibility.

Why would God allow the enemy to perform a miracle that would lead millions astray? That does not make much sense. The Miracle of Lanciano happened during a Catholic Mass NOT during a black mass of the enemy.
