@hardfall3000 They are okay. They barely got a few bruises from that. After the crash they just got out the car and walked back up the slope. No big injury to either of the drivers. Shows how safe WRC cars have become over the years. If this crash happened 10-15 years ago, the drivers would be in some serious trouble!

It was reminiscent of the old fatal and nearly fatal Group B crashes which put an end to the Group B cars.

Thats how the cars are designed. The roll cage is the toughest part of the car forming a protective shell around the driver and the co-driver while the rest of the car is designed to crumple to take in the impact energy like an airbag...
