  • If you look at the us patent's you will see 5000 supressed patents for free enegy what dose that tell you.

    The goverment is owned.

  • Andy, I completely agree. Its just so demoralizing to see the stifling of political willpower in favour of party politics.

  • Abouts 4-6months ago I put myself on 10 Downing St Web. I said that if MP wanted the people's respect, he should demand from cabinet, MPs AND quangoed companies, honesty from all! Came back 'not accepted' why? 10 Downing St said I was joking and therefore not taken seriously by my comments!!!! Says it all doesn't it?

  • Why do leaders/politicians talk of USA as though a good role model for the Brits to take on tackling yob culture, knife culture, business, etc etc? European countries are our neighbours yet rarely do we hear what these countries are doing about the same issues? Why is this?

  • Why is Speaker Martin not answering to a 'boss' of some kind? He is only responsibile to himself and all MPs are terrified to speak up for his misdeamenours?

  • Ooops! sorry meant 'honourable member or honourable gentleman'! Its all nonsense really! I would like my representative MP to stand up in the House of Commons and ask the 3 main leaders why questions about 'expenses' has not been raised? To ask what each leader is going to do about fraud within Parliament?

  • My guess is that your MP, like mine, is a member of one of the 3 main political parties & therefore very much tied to what that party wants. Only if an MP was truly Independent could they really get up & say exactly what they wanted, without risking the wrath of their party.

Unfortunately that's not likely to happen because any prospective Independent MP probably wouldn't have the money to run a successful campaign for election.

    That's the problem IMHO.

  • andymooseman: I think you are wrong that people are not interested in voting! Why? Most of do not like nor trust the leaders nor their 'cabinet' members and most people I meet do not trust MPs in general - no matter what party! When/If a man/woman decides to actually stand up at Question Time and start asking why Parliament is in such distaste from the public, THEN we will at least have an 'honour member' as they so like to call themselves!

  • i feel like we are in a black hole

gordon brown is a weak leader

and david is simply not close enought to the british public

unfortunately not a vote or democracy can change that

  • I know what you mean. It does feel at the moment as though there is really very little to vote for. No wonder people feel apathetic towards politics :)

  • andy after watching your video, some of the things you mention are possibly true,my way of thinking is that this goverment are taking the working class back to the days of the slave trade,we can not compete in the global market of today, as there to many poor countries who are forced to produce our products cheaper than we can, in turn britain is going same way, we are been forced into long hours for little pay , at the same time shown dreams ,

  • I think it's called Globalisation. Although the Government have influence, the main problem is Companies outsourcing their services because it's cheaper for them & therefore lowers their costs. That may not seem fair, but that's the way the whole World seems to be going :)

  • Ron Paul is the presidental candidate standing up for the US constitution, the bill or rights, repeal of the central banking system which causes inflation of the money supply and the continued national sovereignty and existence of the USA. AND TO BRING THE TROOPS HOME!

  • I've always voted and have always believed in voting. But, now with the electronic voting machines that are tampered with so easily, I'm not sure that I'll vote in the future. Votes were tampered with in both 2000 and 2004 and not just in Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004. And you're right, money is in complete control of politics. Money does shout and it shouts down the opposition.

Corporations rule in the United States with the politicians they've bought and paid for.

  • We've had problems with electronic voting in the UK as well. I still feel the old way is the best. They're only going electronic to try & get more people to vote. Maybe one day they'll realise that a lot of people just aren't interested anymore :)

  • Good vid 5 stars.

  • Absolutely great video.

The biggest problem is that the average person does not get involved until two months before the election. By that time, moneyed interests (the ones building those war chests) have already determined the two candidates we get to choose from.

Most people like neither choice, because they are both bought and paid for and it is perfectly clear. So it becomes a "lesser of two evils" choice.

  • I'm glad you liked it & thanks for the response :)

  • Have you heard of Ron Paul.

I am English and I would like England to become a independant constitutional republic, where the rule of law and a writen constitution with seperation of powers.

What are you views on this?

    Would you support this

  • Aside from war and the moral issues that have been retorted for the past few elections (essentially since reagan). Blogs do have quite an effect on the news media and politiciansin the past elections. In the US, I feel we really have to break away from the 2 party systemand make these other parties known so these other parties can possibly 'speak' to you and others. I apologize for my rant, I was kinda typing as I was listening. Thank you.

  • You are absolutely right. Those who are donating 'out of their hearts' dont donate that much to begin with. Now, I dont follow Britian's politics that closely (I've seen a parliment meeting once on C-SPAN). But there essentially is a very slim difference 'polically' between the Republican and Democratic Party. The way they decide upon policies are essentially the same; both have the businesses they support as their 1st priority.

  • i hope celebrities and politicians get on youtube, they ruined myspace! the great thing about this site is that we listen to each other even though we aren't famous or very rich (at least not all of us). it feels like every "tuber" is a family member and that youtube is our little house :) thnx for another great vid

  • Yes, I do think money is effecting who gets into power in politics and who doesn't. I do feel the same way with the limited selection of parties, who to vote for when you don't like either.

Here in Australia we have a compulsory voting system, that is, anyone over the age of 18, must enrol to vote and must vote come any election days. This goes for Federal, State and local counsel elections. Which is sort of a problem when I don't like John Howard or Kevin Rudd.

  • good video and your welcome 5 stars for you and thanks for shareing this

  • I hate to admit it but I rarely vote. I can never find anyone I agree with. It always seems one candidate is just as bad as the other. Seems there is never anyone that gets me excited to vote and most of the time my voting is to keep one guy out rather than wanting the guy I'm voting for to get in.

  • The ranks of politicians consist of millionaires w/ deep pockets. Elections are not an intellectual pursuit, they are a media event -- talk about dumbing down the humble masses! Thanks, Andy, for the refreshing walk on the beach.

  • I see pink clouds :)

  • Great video Andy:):)
