@Weiberts - Although the double Mars light looked good, all the GS-4s came equipped with the single-beam Mars light when built. I think it's the group's way of returning the engine to "as-built" condition...
Very surreal. You'd see maybe a dusting of snow over Cuesta Grade once a year in the winter at the highest point, but otherwise the Daylight never encountered it in regular service.
Hey Viewers: Cockroach is just trying to get a rise out of you. It gives him power whenever you respond to his indecent comments. Ignore him and he'll go away. Great train by the way. My son and very much appreciate the Holiday Express.
Thanks Daniel! Keep up the good work on that 4449, she's a beauty. One of a kind steamers like her will never die as long as the heart of a Volunteer doesn't die, and I don't see them or any railfan giving up at all!
steam locomotives are beautiful goodbye steam forever but you shall not be forgotten as the best engines that ever pulled trains

I miss that old duel mars light.

Me too. I wish they would ditch the single mars light and replace it with something that didn't come from a junkyard.

Great video man! I got up early to try to get down there to see 4449 in the snow, but the roads from Tigard were too dangerous
