  • This reminds me of bridge to terabithia.

  • Best. Movie. EVER!

  • I love this movie!

  • If it's so secret, why is there a movie about it?

  • i googled mary, dickon, and colin and thought so that's how they turned out.

  • I love how they used the Edward Scissor Hand soundtrack at the end, I think it fits well with the movie:)

  • I swear this is the only film where Maggie Smith is evil.

  • why is it only the preview:(((

  • when i had my foot surgery in January i was in bed the whole time watching this movie some parts were sad but most movies are like that!

but the part when the parents died because of an earthquake and when Mary was sent to live with her aunt that was my favorite part!!!

  • @CESSNALUVER175 in the book her parent died of epidemic

  • Damn it! i remember watching this as a kid and loved it, now all i can think when i see it is 'IT'S PROFESSOR MCGONAGAL!'

  • OMG!!!! I FOUND ITTTTTTTTTTT!T!T!T!T!T!!T!T!T awwwwwwww :))

  • WTF? WHY AM I HEARING EDWARD SCISSORHANDS?!

  • this and the little princess were my childhood.

  • @liquidwitch95

Mine too but I just realized that the two stories are so similar, young brittish girl living in India send back to a foreign country after a tragedy and finally left without parents, even if the secret garden still darker. *but it still my favourite

  • @NaiaPhykit1 well they were written by the same person , so kind of makes sense :)

you really think its darker? the night stuff in the house and the fire dance is a bit creepy but the black baloon and climbing out of the window bit in little princess used to scare me more!

  • @liquidwitch95 It is more that mary is the dark or sad version of Sara I ment that Mary wasen't loved by here parents she arrive in a really sad place because here parents already died when Sara was loved and well educated she arrive in a beautifull place were she is (temporarily) well treated and here father is not dead at first. But of course litlle princess is sad but at the end, at least in the movie, she discover here father is not dead and she begin here life like it was before.

  • The old movies are very amazing........

  • i havent seen this in what 10 years or so. it was my fav movie when i was little. this makes want to watch it again. i cryed the first time i saw. it IS just amazing

  • ARGH, this trailer just spoilt it for me. What kind of progressions does it leave for the film, if the trailer shows them three dancing outside, "you brought us back to life", I mean its not supposed to be a summary is it!?! Annoying.

  • im reading this book in school. I like it so far

  • It's on this afternoon on ITV3, 3:55!!!!! Yeah! was watching the Little Princess

yesterday and thought, I'd like to see the Secret Garden again, too, and

here it is! Cool! Seems like magic!;))

  • I Love This Movie So Much Is Such A Wonderful Movie! But I Didnt Get To See The Ending Of It Cuase We Watched This Movie On The Last Day Of School It Was Really Good:)

  • Every kid should see this a winderful story well written and well documented

  • Mary's uncle house, where is it?

  • @1120Karolina Britain, I think.

  • My mom read me this book when i was little.

  • It's Professor Mcgonagall!!

  • Rain in ireland XD i was ment to be at the skatepark but spent saterday watching classic movies

    Thes secret garden

    The little princess

    Willy wonka

    Angelas Ashes

    and

    War of the buttons

  • this was my favorite childhood movie.. always made me cry

  • I was reading this book it's realy good! :D

  • i wish i had a secret garden :D

  • Professor Mcgonagal :)

  • @harveyderf Herbie, you filthy bugger! I always knew where your mind was wandering & eyes were lingering once you grew bored w tormenting our son w your flatulent air kisses! Is it me, or did he not bear an uncanny resemblance to the pasty sick kid that we're manipulated to root for? I always fancied myself lady of the manor: STERN, zero tolerance to tomfoolery, & THE ONLY ONE who held the key to the TRUE secret (lady) garden. Yes, my lil gardener Herbie fertilized w abandon after each viewing!

  • Comment removed

  • @jasonismyhomie Can you blame me with a cracking bit of crumpet next to me? We could never do anything till after ITS bedtime but our 'Secret Garden' inspired roleplay was erotic. You being the stern lady of the manor with the key to your lady garden & I been your little gardener who had to charm you for the key - 'care to have your topiary trimmed, m'lady? You could do with me sprinkling of me fertiliser ALL OVER'! Them two gambits would make your panties drop..er I mean open your garden gate..

  • @harveyderf it's long overdue we dust off our old Mistress/Gardner fetish wear & revisit these carnal roles! Almost 2 decades! The most delicious aspect was always having to sit there in libidinous AGONY waiting for the film's closure! That brat Chadwick always DEMANDING we endure the credits! My balmy greenhouse steamily overheating! I reveled in being yr haughty superior, nitpicking as you pruned my lady hedge to perfection! You were so rugged, so FILTHY! OH, SET OFF THE MAN MILK SPRINKLERS!

  • @jasonismyhomie I don't forget the agony at all. The once I got blue balls so bad in that film you took me to A&E! That was the definition of agony. Where are you now sexy mistress minx? I'm in the conservatory with a certain firm gardening tool that will do just the job for a small, moist lady garden in need of attention. Though before I get to work I'd delight in a good old fashioned picnic in your garden. Let me sample the fruits & juices that grow there before I get to me fertilising...

  • @harveyderf The conservatory, you say? I'm down the road at Lucille's. Had to endure 'good sister' role before sneaking online. I'll just powder my nose & be over in 2 shakes of a WET martini! I recall where my 'Mistress' underpinnings reside. I just need a certain swarthy, lustful gardener to wipe the soil from his sullied brow & TEND to my overgrown shrubbery! Before you taste, I want it snipped artfully. Then, feast away! Finale? Yr 9 inch rake plunging mercilessly into my moist, rich soil!

  • Haha the times my wife & I had to watch this adaptation courtesy of our peckerwood son Chadwick. Even at 5 he had developed the brattish tendency to force us both to watch it. Only 2 things saved me. 1, I'd at least try to cut a good old silent but violent out while we were only the family couch just to see the brat's face shrivel up in disgust. 2, all the talk about 'Secret Garden's got my mind wandering towards the fertile, moist, warm garden of my Ethie with the delicately arranged topiary...

  • McGonogal!!!! :D

  • OHMYGOSH PROFESSOR MCGONNALL

  • @elizabethfilm1

You'd probably prefer the woefully schmaltzy 1987 Hallmark version. It's got child actors with nasal American twangs.

  • I remember he had a cute little orange bird? or is this the wrong movie? I cant remember :S

  • @Faysalaaa its been awhile since ive seen the movie, but in the book it was a robin that showed where the key to the garden where burried and the entrance to the garden. Maybe thats the bird that u remember?

It was so strange and so cute, cuz i have had an encounter with a robin, just like mary.. one that came back numerous times to check on what i was doing.. was soo cute.. that little bird just looking at me with its beautiful red chest and big black pearl eyes

  • i fav this movie the most.... reminds me of my childhood....always :)

  • I have to see this film again with my brother, hes 8, im 23. I saw this movie when I was a kid at school. Beautiful story. :)

  • I have seen several film adaptions of The Secret Garden and by far this one is my favorite!

I recently bought the book in harcdover so I can reread this again...it has been a long time.

  • @BraderoReleasing

I did the same 3 years ago and realized that both the movie and the book are quite different from each other.

  • i have this on tape!!! i just watched it about a week ago until my mom broke the freakin tv now all my classics are useless

  • i have this on tape!!! i just watched it about a week ago until my mom broke the freakin tv no all my classics are useless

  • I'd love to make a video ala Lana del rey

  • Is it possible to cut out some parts of this trailer and put it in the apple movie maker?

  • this movie reminds me of Harmony!!

  • In a way, this is like Jane Eyre, children's version.

Can't help pondering how good of a Hermione Granger Kate Maberly would be. Watson grew out of char too soon.

  • maggie smith is always wearing posh gowns.

  • This is my favorite verison of the secret garder

  • If you look the right way, you can see the whole world is a garden.

  • i remember that the secret garden was the first really thick book i read and after that i was soo obsessed with the movie.. i knew every word by heart..it gives me an unique feeling to watch the trailer again and remember the story, the words, the places..*.*

  • love love love this movie

  • i watched this movie when i was 5 and never saw it since that age but i remember it pretty well

  • Awwwww. This was back when I thought all White people were innocent and fair-hearted. Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way that it was all bullshit.

  • Edward scissor hands theme tune? an iv not seen this film for years! Ima watch again for sure xo

  • just like The Railway children, forever enchanting.

  • The Secret Garden have Four kinds of versions1949.1975.1987.1993 ???

  • why is the trailer using music from Edward scissorhands?

  • @Balendula i was thinking the very same thing!

  • @Balendula I was wondering the exact same thing!

  • @Balendula I know right??

  • @Balendula Because it's beautiful music ^^

  • I saw a movie once with the same name but it was different it was about a boy who met a girl in the secret garden but she was a dead but in the garden she was alive and they grew up together then after many years and he had moved out he found the tree wich they carved there names on, where can I find this does anyone know what im on about

  • I remember reading this book as a child, quite good

  • Professor McGonagoll!!!!!!!! Omg now I am DEF watching the movie! I love the book

  • @frendzfamirlife It's a book?! I've loved this movie for such a long time, I didn't know it was a book :O

becouse i'd really like to buy...

  • @themeeper04 i forgot its really really old ! my mum found it..

  • I swear old film trailers gave away sooooooo much of the plot...

  • O filme parece ser perfeito. Quero assistir.

  • Edward Scissorhands & The Secret Garden FTW!!!! :D

  • a professora McGonagall era ruim kkkkkkk

  • why are they using the Edward Scissorhands' theme song in THIS trailer. wtf!

  • it seems like a fairy tale from this trailer. oh and the dad has luscious hair! i just want to touch it

  • This movie always makes me cry, mostly because it makes me realise how extremely ridiculous our world has become..! We have been bombared with trash and empty needs such as consumption, sexism, drugs, glory, money resulting in greed, lack of compassion, lack of love for so long that it seems almost impossible to live with such innocence...We all need to search for our Secret Garden and not for a way to fulfill meaningless needs!!

Such a wonderful and meaningful movie, always gonna be my fav.!!!

  • @Jessica151294 Thats deep, REAL DEEP ;..(

  • @Jessica151294 Watch the speech in The Great Dictator (Charlie Chaplin)... If you want to cry some more that is...

  • I suppose if you use the Danny Elfman score from Edward Scissorhands to back your film trailer, you can make anything seem wondrous or magical.

  • @MalnourishedGoat,

I guess this is an example of it working.

  • When I was in the 3rd grade,my teacher Miss Coffman, read this book to us when we came in from recess. I don't remember anything about this book, but I do remember the children in the class were all spellbound listening to this story. At the end of the school year, she passed the book around and had us all sign our name in the margins of this book. (She had done this every year she taught and she taught for 40 years.)

  • @dougwilliams1 Hermoso!!! Realmente una maestra brillante!

  • I never used to like the movie when I was younger, because it was so melancholy. But, even though it appears like that still (due to the music), I quite like it. By the way, the movie came out when I was one-ish.

  • i remember this movie really scared me when i was younger

  • my school is doing a play on this

  • I read this book in about.. fourth or third grade.. I never knew there was a movie on it!

  • I wonder what happened to Heydon Prowse. He's a good actor.

  • I'm in the musical The Secret Garden right now... definitely one of the most beautiful stories ever written. I cry every time.

  • i never saw the film but i'v read the book and even seen it at a theater

  • I've seen this movie since i was 10 and it still makes me cry everytime

  • Don't you think Mary looks exactly like Angus T. Jones from Two and half men?.. they could be twins!! except she's like 10 years older haha

  • Ummmm that sounds like the Edward

    Scissorhands music.

  • @BombalurinaLestrange That's 'cause it is :)

  • I loved this book when I was a child. ='3

  • Whoaw the song of the trailer doesn't fit.. at all! Great film however, I love it! But the trailer sucks!

  • Is it just me, or has Maggie Smith been old forever? I don't think I've ever seen a movie where she didn't look ancient...

  • I don't like the sequel but this film is fantastic!

  • @aletiamai what sequel?

  • I don't know why but this film made me feel sad as a kid

  • Professor McGonagall!!! :))

  • :O

  • EDWARD SCISSORHANDS!

  • I just watched the movie. Simply fantastic.

  • Why would you keep a kid inside?!!

  • This is the best movie to ring in the season of Spring! Amazing movie from my childhood and to this day I still watch it.

  • The book- good story

    structure: TERRIBLE.

It's short and very badly written but I love the story so much!

  • @ChocolatePhoenix - There is a musical of TSG out there already, so you wouldn't be 'making it' one. It's really a spectacular one, if you've the time to look up the music. :) Break a leg to all the performers!

  • Yeah, I'm seeing that :)

  • ... We're doing this for our Spring musical this year... I don't know how.

lol. I've never seen it before, but....I don't know, I just don't know how we're making this a musical. xD with high-school students. . .

  • It's professor McGonagall !!!

  • @NazzyWazzy19 Of course it is!!! When I saw the first Harry Potter film when I was 11 and saw Maggie Smith as the Professor I was like, "It's that mean servant from The Secret Garden!! lol" (I forgot her character's name in this movie) :P

  • McGonagall

  • Ah, SO NOSTALGIC! I don't know anything about the movie, and I don't remember all the book, (i've read it) but I remember, how I've seen this trailer on other video. And almost everytime I saw it with my older sister, she told me how good movie this is. But we had lost our video, so I have never watched this... :'(

  • Maggie Smith is a terrific actress. I loved her in Sister act and Hook and this movie too =D

  • omg i remember this movie from when i was like 5! OMG. so much imagination and creativity.

  • @cutedanzr4 OMG MEE 2

  • I honestly dont see why everyone is like, "OOOH ITS PROFESSOR MCGONAGAL!!!! OOOOH IVE NEVER EVEN SEEN HER IN ANOTHER MOVIE BEFORE OOOO!!!" You know people, she is an actress and plays in other movies not just Harry Potter.

  • Whatever happened to good movies like this one? Now all we got is nasty perverted sex, drug and alcohol infested pieces of junk.

  • @realsaraSKELLINGTON I completely agree, which I why my desire is to become a screenwriter and director of fantastic, adventerous, wholesome, charming movies like this, instead of the crap that they make in Hollywood today. One day...

  • @agprincess013 Thank you! Good, we need some good stuff! Many wonderful and lovely wishes to you!

  • @realsaraSKELLINGTON Thank you wholeheartedly :) I sincerely promise for some wonderful films someday. I will settle for nothing less than the best.

  • Thank you wholeheatedly :) I sincerely promise some wonderful films someday!

  • @realsaraSKELLINGTON You're just not looking for them. Good movies were always for the chosen ones, that had the guts to search.

  • @realsaraSKELLINGTON very much true

  • @realsaraSKELLINGTON Those are adult movies, they had those when Secret Garden came out too. Movies like The Secret Garden are kids movies. If you don't want those "pieces of junk" then watch kids' movies. Problem solved...

  • @LibertineDeSade I love how 90 other people agree with me, hmmm MAYBE IM RIGHT? Those adult movies are now pg-13 and yes they have drugs, alcohol, sex themed pieces in them. You got a problem with what I say, the get out and quit trolling, troll somewhere else. Problem solved...

  • @realsaraSKELLINGTON Wow, 90 people agree with you, you must spew the word of God. What an immature view of the world. Anyone who shares common sense is trolling? No wonder you can't handle adult movies, you have the mentality of a 10 year-old. Sad. You and 90 other people are too slow to realize that it doesn't make sense to compare a kids movie from 18 years ago to adult movies of today. What's more, you're too slow to realize that no one is forcing you to watch those movies. Sadder still...

  • @LibertineDeSade Sorry hun, atleast I have standards. You are the one with the problem, coming up in here with a bad attitude, and starting crap with others. And you say IM trolling? Once again, if you don't like what I have to say why comment on it? OH WAIT I FORGOT, thats because my opinion revolves around your world.

  • there is nothing that can rival an english garden

  • ggggggggggggggggggaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!frown):

  • I remember my fourth grade teacher wanted me to watch this movie, I watched it and thought it was incredibly boring. Watching it the other day, and now in high school, I love it. Really shows how much you learn growing up. ;D

  • Whenever I watch this movie, I feel so happy <3

It is one of the best movies I have seen in a while. Keen to read the book now...

  • Rose, James & dog????

    Ths is Wolverine Origin!!

    Hahahaha...

  • Professor McGonagall... :D

  • Magge smith!!! aka Minerva McGonagall!!! I knew the min I saw her face and heard her voice, Does anyone know if the book is any good?

  • @DJMONKAY i've read the book.. and i think it's pretty awesome for an adventurous mind..XD

  • that woman looks like prof. mcgonagall from harry potter!

  • 10 people didn't grow up with this beautiful movie.
