I noticed you never stole a Zeidrich from Rude or a Touph Ring from Reno. I guess you already got a Touph Ring or two. And the Zeidrich might be a little counter productive, considering you focus pretty heavily on limit breaks and materia growth, and your use of the Gigas Armlet is probably preferable as it actually has slots.

@ukleeham I think for both the cargo ship and the Tiny Bronco scenarios, the Gelnika (the huge camo-plane with all the propellers) was under repair. As was the Highwind. Rufus and Heidegger talk about this the first time you go to Junon.

The Sunken Shinra Plane (Gelnika) is the biggest tank of "source" of the game.

You can get 99 sources just for a single enemy.

Tested on PSX emulator

Things you need to have (on different characters):

1) The w-item materia

2) The morph materia (having Yuffie to do the morphing is just optional. It'll just make your life easier).

3) One item (and no more) for each morphing you are going to do (for example 1potion, 1antidote 1 elixir ect)

4) You must not have the source that you want to clone.

Actions you need to do:

1) Before the battle put the sinle item you are going to use on top (for example 1 potion on top of your items list).

2) In the battle Select to "Morph" an enemy (when he is ready to be morphed).

3) Before the morphing happens select the w-item and as a first command use the single item you pu on the top (for example the 1 potion you have) .

3) When the enemy is getting morphed (spins around) eject disc. The item that you used is gone and a source took it's place

4) As a second (w-item) command select the item below it and cancel(cicle&square buttons). For each time you do this you win one extra source.

5) Insert disc and repeat the process with different types of enemies in there :)

I strongly advise you NOT to use all the sources caz something like this will make the game TOO easy.

Just keep those as a backup just in case you can't beat an enemy and you REALLY need some extra boost.

1:25 regarding the tiny bronco, I think it's because Rufus and co went after Sephiroth until they were closer to rocket town than they would've been to junon (easy feat since they were on another continent), which is why instead of heading back to junon, they decided to pay cid a visit and ask for the tiny bronco.

Check out episode 45 and 94 of this walkthrough. but long story short you learn Big Guard from Beach Plugs on the shore outside of Costa Del Sol, and the Materia to cast a spell 4 times is called Quadra Magic which you access with a Gold Chocobo and when its combined with a magic materia like Ultima it can attack 4 times

You're forgetting, there are 4 Huge Materias. Heidigger explained to Rufus and Reeve that they already collected the Huge Materia from Mt. Nibel at Nibelheim. Shinra keeps that one, and THAT'S the one that Shinra launches into space. Then there's the one ar North Corel (the train), Fort Condor (the RTS minigame), and then the Underwater Reactor. Shinra loses those if you collect them, but they still attempt to clow up Meteor with the one they do have. You collect that last one in space.

If you play on an actual Play Station you can pop the playstation lid and Regen will continue to heal your HP despite the game locking up. Closing the lid will resume as normal. Pretty silly trick, but it's fun to basically tell the game "fuck you I'm in the real world, you dick."

The reason they were trying to take the tiny bronco was to impede YOUR progress.

They KNEW cloud was going to the north VIA cait sith.

They KNEW could would probably get on cid's good side...eventually, and use the tiny bronco. Shinra couldn't afford that so they tried to cut cloud off by taking the bronco.

i agree with how it is better in games where everyone just has a set class, but in ff7 i think its fine to just spam your best spells, no sense dragging out a boss fight if they are a pushover.

Wow, I'm a ridiculous overleveller, and even to me, this seems silly for Sephiroth. For one, it would require you to swap HP and MP (KoR costs 250, and you can have a max of 999 MP). But even then, Quadra Magic doesn't work with KoR. So in one word, fail.

Personally, I like making Barret super-powerful and using only physical attacks, because it's hilarious to watch him get past Sephiroth's shields for 4X 9999.

There's no real special strategy needed to get through the random battles, so I didn't feel it was necessary to demonstrate them. Slash-All/Double Cut + Mime is your friend.

If you recall Rufus had said that they had been going in the wrong direction by the time they had reached rocket town. I don't think they had flown there and they were afraid they would lose Sephiroth if they turned around to try and get one of their own planes or the Highwind so they wanted Cid's Tiny Bronco to save time. That is just my theory. Oh, and maybe you should declaw your kitties if they get to be to much trouble. Try a scratching post first though, cheaper and they might go after it.

I didn't know there was more stuff in Wutai..I remember the underwater plane, but not the fight with the Turks; I guess you fight them so often it all starts to blend together after a while.

I've always liked how the camera does 3 consecutive cuts when you cast Ultima and it's not being mimicked or quad-magicked (which is overpowered, yes, but HC has long since turned the corner on this game).

I like the bassline on the music in the plane, though I'm fairly sure it was used earlier.

Well, it's actually a legendary Chinese weapon - the Green Dragon Crescent Blade (wiki it). Presumably, the translators weren't familiar with it and didn't have time (or were too lazy) to research it, and just assumed it was "Blue Dragon Scimitar", abbreviating it to Scimitar.
