Ya know, the entire time I've been watching your videos on this campaign, the Hattori, as much as I like your videos, why don't you use your "deploy anywhere on the map" option? You seem rather strict in deploying. That's practically the main appeal of the Hattori, they can deploy right up the enemy's ass. :P

You bunched up your calvery with your ground troops on the bottom of the foothill... Why would you do that?

Just to give you some advice or formations. It helps to keep your lines straight right up until you engage the enemy. You do this thing where sort of have them running everywhere. Keep them together and walking (not running) until they are within charging distance. And make use of archers - when attacking they can force the enemy to come to you.

@cblake816 vassal is like your protectorate, they pay you a regular tribute and HAVE to join any war you start in exchange for you protecting them from their enemies(as long as the war you start is started after you have made the vassal) an ally is just like a friend, they don't pay you anything and they have the option to join your war. vassals are also extremely unlikely to backstabb you.

Attacking from the open was totally no good. The enemy was changing formation using the hills to cover it and most likely they'll gonna put their archers up front and flank you when you charge...

Try rearrange your army on the 5 o'clock position and use the hill to advance your katanas to 7 o'clock..

you need more archer because they can save your infanty. what did you do with your ninja I couldn't see when you upgrade him. You should capture the enemy port yo increase the economy of your clan.

Wtf is wrong with your ninja? Every time he goes to assassinate a target he just wounds them. This has happened what, 4 times now? I think he should at least learn what parts of the body to cut to actually kill the target. You should send him to school in the next ep.

I definitely think you need more bowmen still. Also, I'm not sure how much this game is geared towards diplomacy, but I'd watch how often you make alliances or peace treaties and such, then break them. After a while, I think your word won't pull much weight, and other clans won't take you seriously. also, now that you are feared amongst many clans, I'd try to make them trade partners. A wise man named Al Capone once said "you get better negotiations with words and a gun, than words alone."

The battle goes well, as soon as the enemy feels the impact of your superior katana samurai they will mass rout. its like putting medival 2's dismounted fudal knights (heavy inf) against levy spears (peasent spear). What i dont get is why cavalry? It's early in the game so most of the enemy armies are mainly spearmen anyway, seems like an unnecessary expense, and explains ur fast routing cavalry. A grand crushing victory all the same though!

Well let me just say, first of all GREAT videos, i have seriously just wasted however much time it took to watch all ur shogun 2 vids, and i love them all. its sooo fun just to watch u play, and IMHO i dont mind not seeing battles so dont worry if ur not fighting too much. also i have not played any total wars b4 so any tips cuz i have this game and suck at it lol... i have a problem micro managing so i get flustered and jsut send my units all to attk at once instead of flanking and stuff.

@DiplexHeatedHD judging just by what we saw i would think your side on part 3 would have suffered heavy casualties, you had the north overwelmingly won, the south is likely to break up , and the middle area is a hodge podge of units smashed together... future guess is that you hold the middle until the units finish up the north and then come down to end the battle, maybe 6-8 squads left for your side give or take.
