Hey i asked you if u could help me with my horse a while ago. since then he has been doing alot better and i have been showing him! :) then after that turns out hes body sore so when he starts feeling better i would like to jump him. where do i start?? any exercises u recommend??

@jennamichelle83 It's really hard to go based on a written description--videos would be very helpful. I would worry about the body soreness issue before you worry about jumping--if it was after jumping, that says he needs more conditioning to be doing the jumping. Have you had the vet out to check him?

@ponylvrxo1 Yes, I did Monmouth! :) Were you with the group of girls in the bleachers? I felt pretty out of my element down there because I didn't know anyone (except for the couple people from my barn over in the hunter ring), but everyone I did meet seemed very nice.

Absolutely LOVE the matching saddle pad, shirt, and ear fly mask (sorry, don't know the proper term) idea. Also, your horse is such a cute jumper. Thats what i want to do with my horse but so far i haven't gotten the chance to finish his jumping training. Anyway, you and your horse are a cute pair together. And have fun jumping!

@dragonfly1030 My riding is going well. I've had some good lessons and think that I have worked past the anxiety I gave myself last fall at the idea of showing. I plan on doing a few little shows this fall. I ride Macy on my shareboard days and am trying to get her in shape enough to handle my jumping lessons. For now, I continue to mostly jump Lucy.

@Clover2247 Duncan had a non-riding related injury while down in Florida to his shoulder, so he's slowly being reintroduced to work. He's in the long-lining phase. Once I have some more footage of that, I'll be making a video. :)

@PNpanther2015 Thanks; please realize I'm not looking for critiques. I don't think I am perfect, of course, but my main priority with her is just helping her to get around confidently. My hands have VERY little contact with her mouth (my mare's preference), and most of my steering is being done with my legs. She uses her head and neck a lot over fences, so I'd rather allow my arms to be loose and follow her motion. Of course, I do still have the adjustability to steer if need be.

I am bringing my 2003 QH to my jumper show in a couple weeks now as my Paint has some swelling and heat in a tendon that we still haven't diagnosed :( I jumped yesterday for the first time since last August and he was a star...
