The only reason labour got in was people were sick of the liberals. And if the liberals get in again it also will be a win by default. We need constitutional change to force politicians to provide scientific evidence to back up their legislation.
I just can't stop laughing at this............honestly....there is something seriously wrong with this bloke ........I saw that years ago........and thats why I voted Liberal !
Aussies, little minds focus on little things, and that's what they want. Trust if you think this is a democracy your deluded, people power, get what you want, if you vote for them or them you are in reality voting for them same thing, they are both the same, they just trick you into thinking they not.
labor the past decade have been extremely shit on the federal level, why the fuck would people vote for julia and wayne...abbot might be a dick but at least he has the right policies
When people voted for Labor they didn't vote for this. They were doing so much better when Rudd was in charge. At the moment I wouldn't vote for Gillard but i wouldn't vote for Abbott either.
Thats why we are all fucked. I don't know if Liberal would be any better because they haven't had the chance to let anything go wrong, but what I do know is that their current policies aren't set on tens of billion dollar plans and badly thought out taxes that sound like they have been devised by six year olds.
Unfortunately in a democracy like Australia you HAVE to vote for the big guys or let the big guys get ass raped by a bunch of fucking idiots for 3 fucking years.
The PM and the labor party are ruining this Country. Its sad to see such a lack of support for the Government after the latest budget, but It's really their own fault. They are addressing issues that are not important to the public, when clearly there are issues that NEED to be fixed, like our roads, health system, asylum seekers, schools.
How about raising the pension for pensioners who've worked their whole life, payed taxes their whole life and are now struggling to put food on the table..
Why do the media try to beat up minor events. At least the ABC didn't blow it up to sound like he did it deliberately like some of the commercial stations did but still why are we focusing on a broken glass when there are far more important issues around? It just goes to show that what the news focuses on is crap. Small things for small minds. I wish we could get away from the 10 second sound clip and get back to the incisive and in-depth reporting that used to be the norm 20 years ago.
@raybal57 It isn't a trivial issue. No-one's giggling just because he broke a glass -- these things happen. It was the timing of it. He broke it because he was so nerve-racked by being asked a very simple question on the Australian treasury that any Australian treasurer should know. It revealed not only his lack of interest in a healthy economy, but his fear that Australians would recognise this disinterest. It showed that he has been counting on people remaining stupid.
@raybal57 The media, owned and operated by right supporters, is obviously going to blow up an incident like this - the right and their supporters are like school yard kids, teasing and jesting over any thing - and it's because they lose on policies alone

what a dickhead..!!! Easily a worse treasurer than Jim Cairns and that is saying plenty.
Last election he had a massive swing against him and only kept his seat by way of Greens preferences.
Heaven help the future of this country.
