With this ram air design you also need to think about how in higher speeds the car forces air down and over the car I would love so see a smoke stick in front of that car in a wind tunnel then see him romp it I bet the smoke would disappear haha my cars design like this was an eppic fail fucking rock >:/

LOL!! This is done all the time with forward facing centrifugal superchargers and turbos on drag cars where classes permit it! Having the turbo/blower facing forward makes the compressor wheel more efficient. There are cars setup up with open inlets in the front bumper going 250 plus mph in the quarter mile! I know for a fact this one has been 167mph in the quarter with no ill effects from air being disrupted in the front of the car. I love hearing from youtube experts, lol!!!!

Thats an awesome placement for the turbo intake, though (and im not sure if you typically do) if it was my car i would definately have a screen or something infront of that intake to avoid sucking up a stray peice of trash or a small animal lol. unless its strictly a strip car, then it probably wouldnt matter

Yea, thats VERY common on alot of drag race turbo mustangs....there's only so much room on some cars with large turbo's.....Hey, at least it's not sticking a foot out of the hood like many of the supra guys do,lol

I can't say why lol I don't know the guy, my guess would be for the ram air effect. either way, he's a redneck with a badass car. oh and besides, I mean it's an 88mm turbo. that's huge, it's probably the only place under the hood he had room for.
