the problem is that... when you record a cover you need the song without the drum parts. if someone listen to your cover hear your part and the original one, so they can't give you a real opinion about your playing. foo fighters song are not easy to play you need a good timing and power, taylor and dave are both talented musitians so ..that's my opinion

This song is driving me crazy. I can only keep the tempo of the sixteenths going for a short time. Everyone says to stay relaxed but its difficult when i cant keep the tempo up. Any advice/tips would be appreciated

@speakerwall91 Your'e right 158 bpm is difficult, but the only thing you really can do is practice, it only took me a couple of days to be able to do it. Keep relaxed and play the strokes with you wrists and you will be ale to build the speed up much more easily and you won't get tired s quickly either. hope this helps :)

Leave it to Dave Grohl to take a song he originally wrote for the acoustic guitar and layer it with some Nirvana-caliber drumming. You've captured the spirit of Dave's drumming perfectly, from the neutral grip on the drumsticks, to the fluid and relaxed playing style (heck, you look bored playing this (this might even explain the chucking)).

Whoops my last comment failed lol. What I was gonna say is the intro I very difficult. I can go that fast for like ten seconds and then my wrist start going all crazy and out of tempo. The accent on the intro are really hard to do as well I think it's just a speed issue though cause I can do the intro with just the hi-hat at 120 bpm easy.

The difference here though is that he can see that he can physically play the song (and that's beside the fact that he has an entire lesson on how to play it too).
