the gamma seems off... there should be a lot more luminance range between the yellow/white of the fireball and the grey of the smoke, unless the camera is automatically changing f-stop, in which case the exposure of the background should change too.
i have seen alot of these videos and i have to say every one of you guys who make these physics test and just excellent looking visuals should make a game, creat a gaming company, make your own physics, or just do something because its like wasting talent u guys should just go out there and make some good games than these bullshit games that we been recieving i dont give shit who says wat but this is just excellent
@EthanFilms Hi, You need to use render-engine that supports "global illumination" for example: FinalRender, Mental ray renderer. I recommend FinalRender!
does the smoke has to be always thick with a huge fireball ?bcuz all the vids i saw on youtube are like gas and fuel explosions ...can we create a realistic explosion ?
@sleek1978 Not necessarily. You can tweak how smoke is created and how much of it you have. Past that, you can play with the render settings and mess with its alpha. Or if you want, you could not have smoke at all.
Haha, nice. I'm currently simulating a very high rez simulation. The fumefx data already takes 328 gigs of space and all of my 16 gigs of ram. : D And that's 110 frames long.
@nVidia6000 Yes and if you're good at it you can close your eyes and imagine the destruction of the whole world with no effort at all. =D technology has nothing on spirit.
@morgothFLOW True, the outcome pays back for your efforts. These are primary sims. I haven't used fluidmapping for a long time, because it will increase simulation time slightly and that time could be used for simulating with higher resolution. Fuildmaps have also more notable effect in render times! In large scale simulations the time bounces up so much that I don't wana even think about it.
@morgothFLOW Yeah they did :D (And also my personal definition for a "long time" is more like 12+ hours). Best way to avoid getting frustrated with simulation/render times is to take advantage of the time when you are in work/school/somewhere. (Staring the screen won't make it faster xDxD)
@StudioGoldsmith Render times weren't as long as the could have been. I dropped Maximum Depth value (In Multiple scattering dialog) to 6 that decreased rendering time enormously . And no I didn't use mental ray, I used FinalRender stage 1.0
AWESOME! MAN, WHERE YOU LEARNED TO DO THAT?
