  • Lovely! It's nice to see the two interacting, the dog shows respect and Rotties are not crazy killers they're very loving and loyal friends, just gotta know how to raise them.

  • See... Now thats how a dog should act. No matter how old or how big a person is, The dog should take commands and follow them. Good job.

  • So nice to see your boy has his tail. I love laws that outlaw the denaturing of animals :)

  • aww reminds me of my two Rotties!

  • i love them with their tails :)

  • she is a meany lol

  • You have a great rottie and well trained.

  • very very good dog!

  • Very nice clip, I see he was well trained and balanced (as the dog whisperer would say) sorry to hear he Gone he looked like a hansom rottie

  • omg he is so big and handsome

  • Very nice well behaved Rottie :)

  • There is no such thing as bad dogs, only bad owners! and you can see this dog is clearly brought up good! Cheers from Rottweiler owner!

  • How big was that water bottle. In the USA they are half that size but I gust with all the desert you guys have it's acceptable to survive.

  • My rottie has a docked tail. Not illegal in the states. I love the lil nubby tail better. But its just what you want. Most breeders do docks tails here.

  • Dammit, dogs are not violent unless to treat them badly. Aggressive they can be, big dogs can tackle children, doesnt mean they will try to eat them, more like snuggle and lick them alot.

Rottweilers can be extremely gentle, despite their size and muscles.

  • Why do idiots like you say such dumb things????

If you use your brain you will realise that im there with the child and dog!!!!

And if i didnt trust my dog with being around kids i wouldnt have let them play together, also just because a few bad dogs do things it does not mean all will, kinda the same as humans....one kills dont mean we all will........

  • @evoloopy preach!!!

  • @evoloopy I very much like that you haven't had his tail docked. A practice I abhor!

If their born with it, it should stay!

  • @evoloopy A news Anchor was just bitten by a dog who was rescued! you are idiot. Animals are animals you dont know what they are thinking.

  • @gardenofarcane I think you are the idiot, you dont know me or my dog. I guess you are the type to never give animal or human a second chance, in my book that defo makes you the idiot!!!!!!

  • @evoloopy You're right right right a thousand time RIGHT! Rottweiler are the best dog for kids and you're the only one who can judge your dog's behavor and see when something is wrong! gardenofarcane read some SERIOUS books about dogs and come back when you got a brain!

  • @gardenofarcane If you are familiar with an animals body language you CAN tell what they are thinking.

When news anchors are trying to get a good shot with an animal they don't pay attention to signals the animal gives that it is nervous or agressive. They usually try to force the animal into posing nice for the camera, and a whole film crew, agitating the animal more. Thats why there are so many videos of stupid reporters getting bitten, chased or pissed on by various animals.

  • @NoisyWombat Very true, dog's communicate predominantly through body language. So much so is it possible to discern from this that Kevin Richardson can safely interact with Lions, Hyena and other animals.

  • @gardenofarcane I know what your think...... Really I dont fuckin care... Your a fuckin dum ass.. I hope someone dogs bites you.

  • @MrMexico709 See now hatred is coming out shame on you. All I said was to be careful and you are wishing me so much ill. Hypocrite.

  • @evoloopy Millions of humans kill numerous of forms of lives in single states annually. So, in accordance with their logic you should never let your child come into contact with another human. For if Rottweilers have accounted for something like 29 deaths in the last thirty years alone in the USA, how much more dangerous are people! This may sound ridiculous, and it is but it puts their stupidity into perspective. Kudos on being an owner that does the breed justice.

  • @evoloopy If you have a dog since a puppy and be respectful, train it properly and love it, prolly you ll never have problems. But with agreessive breads like a rottie the attitude of this lil girl might irritate the dog with bad results. Not the commands, since the dog must learn to accept them from all family members, but the loud sudden noises and screams

  • why do ppl put kids in front of dogs? after so many incidents, i just cant believe idiot animal lovers.

  • @gardenofarcane So you say that children should never be near dogs?

  • @gardenofarcane So many incidents because of careless and stupid owners. This owner is very clearly aware of both the child and dog and capable of reasoned behaviour. The child has obviously been taught to respect dogs. There is no problem here. I'd let my niece play like this with my rottweiler any day. The worse she'd get is a stern licking or an accidental knock over, for which Max would be most upset and help her up.

  • @gardenofarcane

if you don't like what you call idiot animal lovers why are you watching this???? and you know nothing about the breed it seems.

  • @19jenh82 Stop being stupid, I came here to warn idiots who put their kids in front of animals.

  • @gardenofarcane

maybe you should go somewhere else and do that.. sense no one wants to hear it here. :)

  • @gardenofarcane You are a total moron and clearly no nothing about animals... This dog has been raise by the owner VERY well! I garauntee she trusts her dog with her life. This dog is very well behaved, bette behaved than most humans!

  • @rileyreid112 no it's you and ppl like you are idiots who put kids in danger.

  • @gardenofarcane Incidents really only happen when idiot parents failed to teach their kids that animals are not toys or when idiot animal owners failed to teach their dogs that biting kids earns them a swift kick in the teeth. Properly trained and handled dogs are generally perfectly safe with children, even toddlers. Millions of people have lived with dogs or other animals you probably feel are "dangerous". Your one opinion doesn't invalidate the opinion of most of the world.

  • @gardenofarcane

    Think before speak.

  • @chadsmith20 or what???

  • @gardenofarcane you really are a sad angry person, the kind that goes out on a sat nite and thinks its ok to get drunk and fight anyone!!!!!!!

  • Well your rotweiller dog has a tail, many people tell me that you are suppose to cut it off.. they say they're suppose to be like that.. How come some of them do and some of them don't?..cuz is it the owner's decision to cut their tail off or do you have to really cut it off? Because I am thinking about getting one but I don't want the dog to have its tail cut off.

  • @sweetiebella24 in England you are not allowed to have the tail removed unless there is some medical reason, so unless the breeder is going against the law all will have their tails.

Good luck if you do get one as they can be really hard work but really really worth ever second... :)

  • @evoloopy I didn't know that, thanks. But I changed my mind about getting a rotweiller. I'm going to go get me a German Shepherd instead. So wish me luck on getting a German Shepherd... :)

  • @evoloopy That is why I am glad I am English, lol!

  • @sweetiebella24 Also has to do with kennel Standards. The AKC allows for the tails to be removed, but if you are wanting a ADRK rott, it must have a tail.

  • @sweetiebella24 Rottweilers were used to pull large wagons, thats why traditionally the tail was cut, so they would not hurt themselves hitting it against the wagon. Cutting it is purely optional nowadays.

  • @sweetiebella24 Though it is illegal in England some people think that you have to as a longer tail makes the dog angrier (stupid I know) but as the you tuber who did this video says it's the owners and not the dog, you will have to find a breeder and ask not to dock tail as majority do before sale as most people want a docked tail for hunting and so on. The best thing to do is to look for a breeder with a dog type you want and ask if they won't dock the tail cause if you don't they may do :-/

  • Wow what a great dog and extremely patient :)

  • Not all rotties are violent !!

  • @mjfromga89 i know i just type what it sounds like :)

  • Great to see a tail on a rottie. The stories about them being docked for health reasons are BS its just a way to try and justify it. What about the ears...is that to save them from hurting themself too? ppffft

  • there was a bitch rottie at the park the other day, she was called lolliepop, no lie lol, she looked like a dover man though :o was as cute as anything

  • @combonation123 The breed is called a Doberman not a "dover man".

  • Question: Why is he/she's tail long? I thought rotties had docked tails..?

  • @SkittlezMagic Genetic engineering is now being used to increase the length of the tails. Ordinarily, Rott puppies are born docked.

  • @scarabmango Interesting... didn't know that. :)

  • @SkittlezMagic Don't believe it, rotties are born with a full tail like seen on this vid

  • @Stitchthechi Oh interesting. My friend LOVES rottweilers, he had one but they had to move and unfortunetly they had to give her up. But they found her a GREAT home at a rottweiler rehabilitation/reserve. :)

  • one of the most loyal breeds out there i love my rottie to death! 10 years old and still wants to play like a 5 month old pup and will lay next to you with ears perk up "even though he is almost def" ready to protect you from anything.

  • @saitex29 Amen I love my rottie she just turned 11.

  • @azar783408 i couldnt agree with you more my parents have had rotties for over 30 tears there biggest one weighed over 100kg and recently me and my brother brought 2 english mastiffs and i can easily see them destroy a pitbull

  • rotties are the best

  • Aw it looks like he's looking back at you to say.... MOMMMM she's not playing right!

  • Yay a Rottie with a tail! They look so much better with tails I think! :)

  • you are a great owner you did cut your dog's ears and nail nice :)

  • is your rott different from others, don't most have short tails, tbh thats the first i've seen with a long tail

  • @crumblyfluff no the tail is not naturally short in rottweiler it is the size you see in the video but breed standard ask for it to be cut off. In Europe it is illegal but not in the us

  • @dark69geko why are they cutt off?

  • @crumblyfluff today it's mostly for looks and in many country including the US it's still written in the breed standard if you want to do dog show. In the beginning of the breed it was simply because they where use to pull carts and the tail was at risk of getting hurt.

  • es grandote, muy hermoso. cómo se llama?

  • Hi in this vid he would have been about seven or eight, he lived to over 13 years sadly i lost him last year. Miss him loads. :)

  • @evoloopy He looks awesome there, great temprement with your little girl there, a very happy dog. Well brought up and obviously well cared for. It is so nice to see them with a tail too. I know how you must feel when you say you miss him loads.

  • @evoloopy I'm sorry for your loss i don't know what I would've done without my dog.

  • @evoloopy R.I.P... beutiful dog

  • @evoloopy

    Sorry about your loss.

  • good dog haha i love that accent

  • good dog!! taking orders from a kid well trained any tips?

  • ha ha good vid!! lovely rottie

  • I prefer Rotties with tails myself. Cute dog you got there!

  • He is an absolutely beautiful rotti. He's just perfect and these are such amazing dogs.

  • rottweillers are so cute when they are puppies

  • i watch one million rottweiler vid,all american people vid. now i think every american people have one rotty....good choise man!

  • They don't look right with tails.

  • @klfer i was thinking the same.

  • What a cutie! this shows the true gentle nature of rottweilers. They are the most faithful loving dogs ever. My Rottweiler would have gladly jumped infront of a bullet for me or any1 in my family, never bit any1 and died a peacefully at the age of 14. He's always missed

  • No matter how much training this dog may have, I just couldn't let my child play with it. I've read too many stories of dogs just suddenly snapping...

  • @kingjamesallday good then you shouldnt have a dog.

  • british accent rules!!!!!!!!!! ;D

  • the rott looks better without a tail

  • You can have the tail of any dog docked that is a working dog. My springer spaniels vary as some are from working stock others arent. If its not meant for working leave it alone, although my friend breeds rotties and is struggling to sell them on after the uk docking ban.

  • did you say throw the butthole?

  • @blitznallday na...it's the accent dude :P

  • I have a 12 year old rottie, we got it with no trail, but i don't know why someone would cut it, it's like cutting a finger for aesthetic reasons.

  • excellent.

  • How cute!!!!!! II LOVE ROTTIES!!!!!!!!!

  • what a well behaived dog :)

  • Wow, what a patient, loving dog! And the little girl has no trouble getting the dog to listen--a "dog whisperer" for sure. Praise for your wonderful, hard work training with your dog--it really shows!! I love rotties! One of my dogs is a rot/heeler mix, just a sweetie, especially with kids. Awesome!! Thanks for sharing.

  • Well trained loving rottie with a beautiful tail. It's a beautiful thing...

  • He looks and behaves just like my rottie ^^ it's very funny to watch this vid for me

  • awesome dog. jealous

  • They only cut the tails originally when the dogs were around cattle so they wouldn't get hurt. There's no need other wise.

  • @xeringirlx

thank you,too many morons ask "der why don't you cut the tail"..I feel like smacking them through the pc

  • @stevewins914

Lol, I know how it is, My baby's tail isn't docced either and some people keep asking why. My reply as always "Hey, you're not using your tailbone, let's cut it out!" Lol!

  • listen d1cks

rotts with no tail = working farm dogs to haul small carts

    cutting tails isnt normal.

if u dont live on a farm, it should have a tail

wankers think the dogs look more agressive w/o a tail

  • 13 people that should never have a dog. Obviously, if I were not a confident dog owner, I would dislike this video too.

  • I like that at one point the dog looks at the camera like "Is this kid serious?"

  • they look cuter with tails xD

  • @oweyaman It is strictly forbidden to do this cruel to an animal!!!

  • i think a rottie looks better with their tail short.but cute dog tho

  • LEAVE IT!

    THROW IT!

    LEAVE IT!

    THROW IT!

    LEAVE IT!

    THROW IT!

  • my relative had one he died of cancer the thing i remember the best of him was the strong tail wagging around X D it was like a punch to the face 'cause i was so young back then :D RIP turo

  • =) hes cool, looks like my dog

  • Most of his life he was about 9 stone of big soft dog, i dont think it really matters about the size of the dog its how much time and training you are willing to put in.

I have just rescued a Rottie whos had a really bad start in life but i have put the time and trust in and six months on he is a different dog from the sad little thing i picked up.

If you do get one try to get a puppy and learn as much about the breed as you can, good luck and enjoy.

  • @evoloopy but size matters if you life in an apartment or other things like that. Please answer the question? =P

  • @DTProtoss if you live in a flat or apartment then this is NOT the dog for you,

and if you read my last reply it says there!!!!

  • @evoloopy Why cant u have a rotti If u life in an flat or apartment? I think it depends on the owner. Cuz my uncle lives in a flat and he is walking a lot with his rotti. like 5 hours a day. the dog is really sweet but Sadly a month ago the doctor said the dog has cancer. My uncle feels like the end of the world has come and he is really devastated. So sad :(

  • @DTProtoss Rottweilers are actually well known for being great apartment dogs, if you are looking for a large breed. We have had two and they have been great, just make sure you have time for a daily walk and plenty of things for them to chew on. Training is also a must.

  • @DTProtoss If you're in an apartment, maybe wait until you have a house with a garden, or get a small lap dog. A dog this large needs room to roam.

  • @DTProtoss a stone is about 14 pounds

  • @evoloopy I have a rottweiller myself, he won a "goodlooking competition" dont know how to say in england. and your rottie look's exactly like mine. Beautiful dog! well done!

  • As he was to be our pet there was no need to do it.

  • @evoloopy What function would cutting the tail serve?

  • @oweyaman

Why the fuck should they cut his tail that's just bloody wrong how would you like it if we cut one of your legs off.

    Would you like that?

    cruel fuck you are.

  • @oweyaman whats the point to cut his tail

  • @oweyaman Rottweilers typically are used to pull carts and other farm like duties. When they are a working dog the ducked tail is necessary so they didn't get it caught in carts and such. This is not necessary as a family pet.

  • @Charmarty true the dogs were originally breed by a blacksmith that probobly also used it to pull carts and that and have been keept to do later on but i doubt it was necessary to cut it because for exampel great danes were origanlly breed partly as a war dog to pull over soldiers horses but when they were out in war the great dane was also used to pull carts but i havent seen great danes with cut tail

  • @oweyaman i have one with long tail also, i don't like the way they look without it , :)

  • @oweyaman So..why don't you cut your cock?! -.-'

  • @cioffo93

why are you such a dead sack!! BITCH IM JUST ASKING QUESTIONS MOTHERFUCKER!!!

  • @oweyaman why would they cut the tail? in my opinion theyre alot more beatiful with theyre tail and also in most contries its forbbben to cut tail of dogs these days even thougt im not aware if its forbidden in the contrie theyre living in because some contries its still alowed to cut the tail in

  • @oweyaman its only USA where they cut tails and ears in 2011...

  • @We3dAnt um i've never heard of CUTTING EARS!!!! but here in Canada they cut off their tails to.

  • @oweyaman In most Australian states its ILLEGAL to cut their tails. There is no need for it, our rottie still has hers. The only body modification shes having is being desexed.

  • @oweyaman Because I believe it is illegal where she lives, not to mention horribly mean and useless. I'm American and though of course I'd adopt a doggie with his tail cut off, I'd NEVER do that to a dog. You need to stop thinking it is okay to be cruel to animals just because the breed states it as okay.

  • @mjfromga89 the tragedy is that it is still legal - and a prevalence in the US - to do a similar ritual to male children.

  • @mjfromga89 you are dumb they dont get fuckin scissors and chop it off, when the puppy is born when its eyes are still closed you out a rubber band around the tail and in time it will just fall off

  • @bigchinesewiener Actually the vet clips it when the dog is a puppy. Where in the hell do you live??

  • @mjfromga89 well i live near toronto canada and you can do it two ways one way is put the band on and the tail will fall off in a couple days because there is no blood going to the tail or you can spend money and get a vet to do it.

  • @mjfromga89 Don't they dock Dobs and Rots to reduce the chance of tail injury?

  • @MegaObliterate No that's not the reason they do it. If it was done simply to prevent injury, it would be done to all dogs. It is simply cosmetic and is done for American breed standard. I like them with their tail on, the natural way they're supposed to look...

  • @mjfromga89 Actually, after some research it is to prevent injury. Working Dobs and Rots have been docked to prevent injury because the tail is so delicate, working dogs would allways be at risk to injury to the tail. On the other hand, when pets are docked, it is cosmetic.

  • @MegaObliterate In America these breeds are mainly used as pets and for dog shows etc. The docking here is almost always cosmetic. I understand some hunting dogs tails are docked maybe for that reason but Rottweilers and Dobermans are not hunting breeds and when used as K9 units, would actually need their tails for better balance and owner recognition. This person is clearly not American, and it is banned almost everywhere else...

  • Comment removed

  • @mjfromga89 ROTTIES HAVE LARGER TAILS AND THEY SWING THEM AROUND THEY CAN HIT SOMETHING AND HURT THERE TAIL ROTTIES ARE GOOD I KNOW YOU THINK ITS CRUEL BUT THEY CAN HURT THEMSELFS MORE WITH A TAIL THEN WITHOUT GOOGLE IT MANY STORIES WILL STATE IT I ONLY WILL EVER DOCK A TAIL AT PUPPY STAGE

  • @reptifreak99 I know about Rottweilers and have owned them before. They do swing their tails vigorously but this has never resulted in any type of serious injury in my case as dogs would not naturally do things to hurt themselves. I disagree with docking tails and cropping ears despite the teeny things it may help... which may as well be ignored. Labradors have very thick heavy tails also but docking is a disqualification for the breed. It's all cosmetic in my eyes...

  • @mjfromga89 not all poeple willl have an injured dog but if its a house dog then whats if it hits glass or hurts itself it has happened to my dog many time but if that reaosn didnt occur then i wouldnt dock the tails any way

  • @reptifreak99 I have owned many large/giant breed house dogs. I even owned a Rottweiler who was born at a no kill shelter and he had his tail. Never a tail injury in sight. Your logic makes no true sense anyway because if it was done to simply help prevent injury then it would be done for many more breeds with large tails and a propensity for vigorous wagging. It is simply cosmetic and some people try and make it seem like it's done in the dogs interest as an empty defense.

  • @mjfromga89 I got banned from a Doberman forum for saying that it's natural for them to have their tails and ears intact! It was a thread with an open discussion on the subject. It highlights how ignorance prevails in certain places to this day. You can offer many details but they will never accept it. The tail is imperative for communication and stability. Docking offers the dog nothing. Likewise the cropping of Dobies as it exposes their inner ears and causes many problems.

  • @Blitzbok My dog wags his tail to show he's happy and he also uses it to communicate with other dogs and balance himself on slippery floors etc. Floppy ears keep things from falling into his ears and causing issues. The flaps actually help channel his hearing, they don't disrupt it. Not one ear infection and he's nearly 15 too so that's CRAP that floppy ears always get infected. The CROPS on the other hand become infected quite a bit though. I agree with you :)

  • Comment removed

  • @oweyaman why DO you cut the tail, that is animal abuse! How would you like if i chopped your hand of?!

  • @oweyaman Why should they? I dont think it's cruel as long as a vet does it right and you dont try to do it yourself but it is pointless and stupid. Why does it matter anyways, its their dog they will do what they want!

  • @oweyaman why do they cut the tail??

  • @oweyaman because all dogs deserve to keep their tails

  • @oweyaman You know thats illegal right?? In the UK you can only cut JackRussels tails, and you can only cut their tale within the first few months that you bring them home, otherwise it will become to painful, but I can understand if you didn't know, no worries... :)

  • @oweyaman coz he dident

  • @oweyaman Why cut the tail ? Rottweilers ´looks more cooler with the tail

    And that rottie was perfect!!!

So no need to cut his tail of

  • @oweyaman its called docking, and its illegal now apparently.

  • @oweyaman Because it's illegal in the UK and it's cruel. Why the hell would you anyway? How would you like it if someone hacked off one of your limbs for no reason?

  • @oweyaman There is no medical reason to cut off a rottie's tail. Check with any vet - it is visual only for show purposes that it is done or some people do it as it can make the dog 'look' more agressive if it is a guard dog.

But NO biological or physiological reason to do it & good on this family for not doing it!

  • @oweyaman Stupid comment asshole. Go cut your mom's hair. I hate people like you. Posting comment without even saying sorry of what you mean in the comment.

  • @oweyaman It has a lovely tail. Sad people still do that, or cut the ears. it's very painful

  • That person was an idiot. Your daughter handles your dog SO WELL. She didn't ever try to snatch that bottle out from his mouth, gave him a command, and waited for him to listen to that command. And your dog is a very well behaved well tempered dog!! BEAUTIFUL Rottweiler. I hope when I get mine, mine is as well trained and beautiful as your dog!

  • @Untitledshadows Well YOU have to train him. He doesnt come preassembled if you get the meaning. They are easy to train but they require a veterans hand in training.

  • @evoloopy I like your boy. Seems like he has a good personality. Guessing your from Australia. Illegal to dock tails down there now right?

  • Well Gardnerdm...or whatever your name is we love dogs if you don't get the fuck off this video
