great tutorial but I cannot create that last layer, where the text tkes the pattern around minute 5:50 I press cmnd j with the text selected and nothing happens can you help me
I think I see your problem. Once you have actually made the selection, you have to make sure the active layer is the layer with the items you're going to copy (i.e. the layer with the dots). When at that point you hit cmd+J you copy the selection of the active layer to a new layer.

Like MGthemes said, you could have filled the canvas with the dots faster if you had just made a pattern. But then i wouldn't have learned the stuff you did with the free transform tool.
I didn't know about the Ctrl + Alt + T
and the Ctrl + Alt + Shift + T commands in Phoyoshop, so thank youu!

Cool tutorial. You can accomplish much of that by defining patterns. Its sort of cheating, but it gets the job done. Good Job though man.
