I'd say that, musically, Eruption is Ed sitting in a loud ricer car at Walmart, with somewhat generic white males gawking about. Ed wants to show off to them, so he cranks the lil engine into the red, over and over, making the fart pipes toot, tires squeal and the overdone plastic trim shudder. The stereos cranked to 11, the paint and decals are loud, and Ed rules the Walmart lot. but the show never leaves the lot to race or cruise, as this is a ricer car, and thats their purpose

@Sean2592 thats what I'd like to know. Theres plenty of room to explain why right here on youtube but fans don't do that, they defend the wanky old videos from negative comments. This wankery was new and exciting for a while but was so beyond stale by the time Ed crammed it into Jump. Heavy metal thunder crammed into pop fluff Jump, whats the story there?

@Adnoydall Look i know exactly what your talking about there. And i agree, but the deal behind that was Ed wanted to play on the keyboard. He grew up playing the piano, and even the drums a little bit, and eventually up to the electric guitar. And we all know how that turned out. His first full album with Sammy Hagar (5150). Was a really good album to me, but after that. I was done with em, there's a few hits here and there. But after Women and Children First they started changing for the worst

@Sean2592 Eds done some fine work, but with so much music to choose from in 2011 I encourage folks to play the field, as it were, and find whatever sounds good to them, not blindly worship one idol and mimic one style. like far too many still do today. I'm very curious if and how far VHs next album does a retread of safe and sound gimmicks, or actually explores anything new, or a combination of both. Doesn't have to be a wankfest is what I keep saying....
