  • @lorryvg154 Hi There, what do you need to know about it ? I've had this car since 1998, bought it off its first owner from Eccleston, Lancs.

  • Nice Vid, I was working as a salesman at Perrys when these were introduced, You mention they weren't a great sales success which was true, Most people looking at the high end Sierras went for the GLS which had most of the Ghia extras but was cheaper. The twin cam engine was a good unit, They used it in the police spec Sierra which was a really basic car But went like rocket cos it was so light ! Can't be many 2000E's left now

  • the sierra is not 2000E they stopped the E when they finished the mk3 cortina i bet that sierra is the 2.0 GLSI model them engines are crap my grandad only got 70k out of that engine!!!

  • @jamie88694 nope sorry, its a 2000E and its got 128,000 on the clock. I bought it from its first owner with 60,000 on. :)

  • @jamie88694 DOHCs are great! Just need to care for it and make sure it's warm before really going at it.. I don't know miles, but I've seen and heard of DOHCs lasting for 300,000 km + ,

I myself am an owner of a 92 Sierra DOHC (vids in my profile). it runs really really well, even after a night with rough driving. Ive never experienced any issues with it, nor has my brother with his DOHC.

I wouldn't want another Sierra (unless its a 6 banger).

The DOHC is a great engine jus needs tender care

  • ive had 3 of these and 2 of the orion 1600e

  • An interesting approach - I recall Ford did a similar approach with the Orion of the time - 1600E

  • a sierra and northern soul, life doesnt get any better.
