crime is an industry, with out it thousands would be out of work. doctors, police, lawyers, prison staff, and all the other organisations so shut the fuck up.
lmao, martin robin hood cahill, the peoples champion, dont mind tv and papers, we the public will pick our own heros, martin made them look like the fools they were for years, he is a victim of a state sanctioned murder, period.
@irishgeal1 Indeed! ...in truth I'm inclined to a similar bias due to the fact that I believe in the very human condition of compassionate resourcefulness
thanks for sharing I found your comment a worthwhile read
thanks so much for the post...I live in the states and it's hard to see stuff like this...with out youtube I probably never would have. I saw Veronica G on TV the other day and didn't realize this was the same person with two wives...for a couple of days I thought it was common among Irish criminals to have more than one spouse :)
Good film, Gleeson did a great job. I'm annoyed reading the comments praising this criminal. The rotten bastard deserved to get shot and worse. After what he did to Dr. Jim Donovan (Donovan was left paralysed, lost his left foot and still suffers tremendous pain from after a car bomb Cahill planted in '82) and after robbing O'Connor's Jewelers with 100 people losing their jobs, he got what was coming to him.
he was shot at traffic lights wasnt he? and why wasnt there surveillance that day?,guards hated him that much they didnt even bother investigating his death
Brilliant movie about a fascinating character. In this biased portrayal, it did not document the hundreds (at least) of innocent catholics murdered by the UVF in the north.
@goffcfc Oh how sad for you ...to bare the burden of that kind of thinking after so much time has passed... obviously you are highly intelligent ...a deep thinker ...brilliantly astute yet with all of those skills ...probably more... you type your last sentence
this is just a story of a man who's final actions were based on trusting ...he trusted that he was finally safe leaving his own home getting into his car ...if anyone deserves anything ...each ONE deserves to be able to live in trust
brillant movie, I saw his mate the monk before visiting cahills grave. And a couple of years ago the viper showed me around his hummer limo but its not like i have any respect for criminals
luv de film and i know he was a criminal bit how dsre u kill him u never ever tske de law in ur own hands dats 5 kids without a father and that is so hard he was a criminal yeah......but i will say dis he was very clever!!
and what about the innocent protestants??? and if the IRA really was fighting for Ireland they would have dealt with the drug dealers and have left an Ordinary decent criminal alone
because when he was16 he was convicted of two burglaries and sentenced to an industrial school watch the film on youtube do a bit of reasch on the web and books and how u know he was into drugs
He committed more crimes that he was not convicted of.
He was never convicted of any drug-related offenses, but given the crowd around him and him not giving three fucks about anyone else, he probably sold it for the lucrative profit that could be made.

Ah the IRA should have just let him fund the UVF with stolen paintings to buy gun from South Africa to shoot innocent catholics in the north.
Martin Cahill was a scum-bag...Although the film is a good show

He was a drug-dealer. The I.R.A. never targeted Prodestants. The I.R.A. have "dealt" with criminals, broken legs or bullets.
ParamoreWorshipper 2 years ago
eh no he wasn't drug dealer if he was he wouldn't have had to rob and steal
KINGofkings49er 2 years ago
How do you know he stole?
