Just listened to Dr Hook's version and it is good but Waylon's version is great! Comes straight from the heart. As someone else said, Waylon nailed it.
@lindalovesal I know what you mean I had a son when I was 17 and had to go to work to take care of him I had a choice of going to school on a baseball scholarship or staying here and working being with my wife and kid I am glad I chose to stay here I have 2 daughters now and a good woman so even though people tell me I missed out on growing up I think everything worked out great i'm happy to have a great family and wouldnt trade the hardest of times raising my kids for anything.
Doctor Hook and the Medicine band are the best at this particular song.
