Does anyone know if the microSD Memory Card can be used for recording movies (not just images)?? I want to buy this camera but don't know if the small vibrations from a motorcycle will ruin the recording quality on a Hard Disk Drive (HDD). Thanks.

hi, i got the same cam as you, is that on 800x digital zoom??

and i've got a problem...

once, i was recording me and my band how we play (good sound!) and than, when i want to stop "film" i look to the screen and there was written something about "abort recording"... how is this possible? he only film 4.29min and we were playing about 15min...

did you have thesame problem?

and on the lowest quality of recording, is the audio less quality or it keeps tesame??

If its filmed in widescreen it stays distorted even if you change the file extension or have vista which can read those .mod files. Use the included software to export as avi, mpeg2 etc

great video! I will try this tonight! anyway, in response to movie maker. if...you have vista the .mod file can be read by both media player and movie maker however if you have xp you can use the cyberlink software that came with the camroder or go via firewire depending what everio you own.

No. It's 100% real. I have the same camera as well as a Canon FS100 and do the same thing. I was SHOCKED at how close it got and how detailed it was. I had problems with the file type as well. If you load the movie into the software package that came with the camera you can export it out into whatever format you like. Even WMV. What Windows Movie Maker uses.

I know you have a Canon FS100, but out of a Canon FS10 and a JVC Everio MG330.. Which camera do you think is better in terms of video quality and ergonomics?

They are both pretty close, but I'd go with the Canon. The botton line that made me decided on it was an external MIC jack. The onboard mics are good, but nothing beats an external mic for getting that all important quality sound.

don't get the canon, it has no image stabilisation so if you shake the camera, or even move it slightly the picture goes crap

Rename .mod to .mpg. Then it should work (i don't use movie maker, i have magix video deluxe).

I just tried it with movie maker and it works, too. It can t open .mod files but Renamed to .mpg, no problem.

At first, copy the video to your harddisk. Then rename the file (right mouse button click on the file and choose rename. Remove .mod and write .mpg).
